fog light ducts and sidelights?
yes, you can move the sidelights to the indicator housings. I drilled a hole in the bottom of my 99spec indicator housings, and cut out notches for a bulb holder. or if you get a set of 93 onwards Import indicators then they have an extra bulb holder for kerb side lights, which you can fit the sidelights into instead. Gives the car a wider stance at night too, should of been there as standard imo

Driftworks HICAS KIT
Dont forget to contact Brian, Znut (TLO) first.
-
E-bay chancer
But all they would do is insist he either sends item or issues refund...which he has already offered. Ebay may issue a non-performing strike on the sellers account, but Jeff wont get the item unless buyer chooses to send it. You should leave negative feedback Jeff, for others to see. Or make sure the seller knows thats your intention...he may decide to post it instead

E-bay chancer
Bit of a joke. Could be legit, but either way not much you can do if he is offerig full refund. Ebay wont do anything about it.

Has a Z32 ever competed at TOTB?
Excellent, bobgenie and Jaffa's, yours are the two I was thinking off as being competable. Others possibly being Mac_1's, Silverbullet and Boomin33's. (apologies if I have forgotten anyone, just of the top of my head those that have been built with Competion events in mind, or highly modified in all areas)

What to ask/look for Cat D
Cat D can range from stolen recovered (with no damage) to cosmetic damage. Although how they get classified does seem to vary by tester. Nobody should have any quarms about purchasing a CAT D vehicle, they are meant to be put back on the road. Cat C vehicles are more extensively damaged, but perfectly repairable and will get a note added to the V5 saying they have been damage repaired. There is no test for repairs, just a VOSA VIC test to confirm the cars identity apon intital re-registering.

Odometer
The trip can get stuck if the button was not pressed fully down. Try giving it a few more hard presses and seeing if thats it first.

Odometer
Welcome, Put thread up in the wanted section, there are usually several lieing about from breakers. £30-£50. or if you wanted a UK version (in mph and psi) they go for about £100. You will ideally need to get one from the same series model as yours, for a straight swap fitment. Series 1 is 89-92 Series 2/3 is 92-94 Series 4 is 94 onwards and wether you need TT or NA. edit : oppss, did'nt see Groover has some available. ^^^^^

Has a Z32 ever competed at TOTB?
We have a few cars that are capable, but its not happened yet. We just dont have the same number of owners tunings their cars to the same degree as others do. Z's are competed in Time attack events in America and Australia, with great success, but not so much here.

Overhearing comments about your Z
Raw Traction of a 4wd setup- Each wheel only has to transmit a smaller share of the overall power output. Its not nessesarily the same thing as better handling, but it does allow us mere mortals able to push harder/drive faster on the road than a comparable 2wd setup does. There is an very old old japanese video somewhere of a GTR, NSX, Supra, 300zx and RX7 I think - all standard from back in the early 90's, all on track by Professional drivers. Unfortunatly the Z was just a lwb. :p . It certainly was'nt the big handling/performance difference some may expect, but indeed, after the dozen or so laps it had fallen behind the GTR (which was 1st) by a couple of seconds. That was completely stock vs stock. It also does'nt mean 4WD is always an advantage, in dry weather at least. The SPL time attack 300zx and UAS Zed does a good job of eating up and spitting out track preppred GTR's and other 4wd cars on track, even those with more power. I appreciate a 4wd systems abilities, but from a pure driving experience I prefer RWD. GTS-T and GTR suspension setup near identical to the Z. Although, One of the changes Nissan made to the Skyline was to improve its anti-squat characteristics - the cars resistance to transfer weight under hard acceleration. Nissan introduced too much anti-squat into the rear suspensiond design with the 300zx. Not allowing enough weight transfer, which reduces rear traction on hard acceleration. This can be seen by the extreme horizontal angle of the rear lower wishbone. Nissan improved this in the R33 and R34 by altering the mounting points of the rear lower wishbone to reduce the original anti-squat. I have been modelling the 300zx rear suspension in susprog, a dynamic handling suspension engineering package, with plans to alter the rear subframe design to fix this.

Evenin' all.
Welcome Zedworld is the Main Z service specialist in the UK. People travel all over the UK to visit them. Zedworld is in Tamworth, north-east of Birmingham, towards Leicester/Nottingham. There are some smaller companies that have experience in the 300zx though, Im sure people local to your area will be able to reccomend somewhere closer. Bristol? Its closer to you in Doncaster than it is to bristol :p

Overhearing comments about your Z
meh...the VG makes more power and a lot more torque mod for mod than the RB. It has the Performance potential.....we unfortunatly have a lot less people tuning the Z to the same potential in the UK. its just the typical big power dyno queen single turbo option is more difficult for us.

^^^Yerp , NA Pump, Bracket and Pot. You can swap over your TT pulley to it if you want to keep the same belt. otherwise you'll need a 3rib belt instead of 4rib.
