VFD dash?
The previous Z31 300zx has an Digital dash like that too (standard in some markets, optional in others). Nissan dropped it with the Z32.

Headlight bulbs
The lower the number, the higher the Illum is and less blue (more blue = less light). Generally 4300k - 6000k is an acceptable range. There are many HID kits out there, prices vary, and some are very poorly made korean stuff that require extra work to make them fit. I got mine from SWZ Performance, excellent quality and simple to fit.

Blending Sideskirts- Good idea or not???
Remove the AIV stuff, and you'll never have any need to remove the wings, other than from damage in an accident...in which case you would need a bodyshop anyway.

Headlight bulbs
H1 fitment , yes Main beam. You want H3 for Dipped beam UK, and H3c for Dipped beam Jap.

just brought a Z - anyone know the history?
Get bumper changed ASAP.....with an NA bumper you are getting no cooling to your intercoolers....intake temps will be all over the place, loss of power and risk of severe detonation.

All R33's GTST's are Type M (common misconception they it was an option) (The R32 came with and without Type M designation.)

-
new skyline
there is a car called the Infiniti Q35, a luxury coupe based on the 350z...which they are using the name "skyline" for it in some markets.
-
new skyline
Yep, (or at least the prototype) although the "skyline" name has been dropped, and its just GTR now,
-
New z owner
yep, as said your engine temps are too high. You have a cooling issue that should be investigated. Typical tyre pressures - 32 front, 36 rear. Try it and adjust to your own preferences.
-
turbo recon
Contact SWZ Performance, I know they have various options available..and yep, its an engine out job Im afraid.
-

What Exhaust
If you want to keep the stock quad look(but a bit larger), and a little noisier..but not too much then you'll be after the Mongoose/Blueflame system.

FAO traders who sell parts
Labour wise....best to speak to the individual Traders about that but you would be looking at around the £2k-£2.5 area for labour Engine in/out Engine stripped Internals fitted New Harness fitted Heads tested and any headwork porting done Engine backtogether Testing You might also want to consider a set of bigger injectors and intercoolers to really make use of the Stronger engine and tubs.

+17.5% VAT You are unlikely to get through customs as a Gift, becuase of the item contents, value and becuase they are coming direct from a Company, if you do get it through as a gift then gifts then Import duty adn VAT is still payable on gifts with a value over £36 If you declare the value as being substantially lower than they really are, and anything is lost of damaged then your stuck for claiming back insurance. Both Duty and VAT is worked out on the Item costs including shipping. Import duty is usually lower than 17% vat would be about £490 on the above example As a rough example I usually account for about 20% for total import costs

Stolen
If anyone is a member of http://www.japnortheast.co.uk it would be worth posting on there...biggest Jap club in the north apparantly. An Eclipse was stolen some time back and the thief actually took it to one of their meets and offered people rides in it, masquerading as the new owner.
