gtr disc fitment....
The GTR calipers are bolt straight on, no brackets, and you must use GTR spec Discs (stock or aftemarket) 350z Calipers are the same spec as GTR Calipers, but use a different is offset, so require 350z spec Discs. The rears however do not bolt staight on. The Evo calipers are larger, but require custom brackets for fitting.

which clutch
ah right, not good, the Z1 clutches seems quite a popular choice over on the U.S forums. in General a Puck/Paddle clutch will hold more power than a Full face Item, but at the sacrifice of driveablity/Usability on the road. IMO Its not nessesary to go down this route for a road car when there are Full face clutches able to hold such power fine.

best way to get the 300 to give you a kick in the ass??
and yes a Boost upgrade to 14psi is a big jump in performance, but you have to be sure everything is in peak condition first.

Are you sure its performance is up to Par ? Tried some simple timed acceleration runs ? In my experience passengers are always impressed by the performance of a Z.....even those with Evo's and Impreza who happily admit that its much faster than their own after a ride in one. 3rd gear Pull for example is very impressive in a Z ..25-100mph with you pinned against seat the entire time. The Z does'nt have that snappy on/of boost acceleration, but it has immense torque and very long legs in comparison...its just keeps pulling and pulling...and pulling.

Best Brake upgrade under £1k
Stopping distances would certainly be improved with correct bias from matching rears. edit : this is assuming that the K-sport front setup creates more torque than the OEM setup !

Best Brake upgrade under £1k
Yes, perhaps I did'nt make it clear what I meant...............a full K-sport setup is going to be better than a GTR setup, but for a 700 pound budget your looking at Fronts only. Mixing a Massive Ksport front upgrade with stock rears throws the brake balance way off, which is never advisable. Adding rears would nearly double the price. Hence for the budget your better off with a set of front and rear GTR Brembo's. Better to have a complete brake upgrade, rather than half of one.

Best Brake upgrade under £1k
Thats fronts only though for that price, and they are cheapest Aftermarket brake setup available. They used to be cheaper ! , when first released everyone was doing Special offers to get them out there as there was a lot of reservation about a budget Taiwanese brake setup. I was offered Dealer wholesale by D2 at one point with a free set for testing purposes. For the money your looking at your best bet is a set of R33/R34 GTR Brembo's front and rear.

Throttle body mod?
No. I've discussed this in more recent posts. The reason became obvious after closer inspection - Basically the throttle valve is deliberately set at this angle because its the same angle as the intake pipes enters the throttle bodies, and therefore the intake air. Changing its angle so the valve is horizontal would actually restrict flow.

Need car recommendation
Yep, same here. Can't go wrong with a VAG group car, and the Seat is the most stylish. Audi A3 would be the other option, Classier but not as good value for money.

Is this engine stand ok? 350kg

astra mk2 gte 16v or primera egt
Not just the boring modern stuff , these days most pre-2002 car can be had for under 1k, including some of the more interesting stuff; Bmw 3series, 5series, Audi A4, Alfa 156, Golf gti's, VW Corrado, Mitsu fto, Toyota Mr2, Merc c-class......... all of them superior in every way to an old astra, cavalier or primera.
-
astra mk2 gte 16v or primera egt
I know Im biased...Im a vauxhall hater, always have been...never liked their low class image. ...but I figure were talking under 1k here, and cheap daily driver - so economy, reliability, comfort is whats important.... therefore the money could be much better spent.

astra mk2 gte 16v or primera egt
I get the whole manta thing....retro classic and all that...... ....but the Astra/Cavalier/Primera.....Why? You can get much newer, better cars for peanuts these days.

which filler for tailgate skin?
You need to use Fibreglass filler (P40) first to blend and join the seam, then Body filler for final finish and smoothing.

450bhp ebay zed
any dyno operator can produce any figure he wants for any car on the rollers. If it is capable of 450hp+ , then we all know it has to have Aftermarket turbos, bigger injectors and intercoolers......yet his relunctance to list any of this either shows that it has'nt....or he does'nt actually know its spec....either way your buying a bit of an unknown.

Jack Point
Jacking on the sill is acceptable for tyre changes with the stock Jack (it has a groove for the lip to sit in) but it can otherwise crush the lip and push the front wings out with other jacks. You will be able to see if this has happened.

which clutch
Dont bother with paddle/puck clutches, stick to full face clutches. RPS Sport Street is ideal for your needs, and is a very popular option. Z1motorsport also do their own brand of clutches which seem ok and do not cost as much. The RPS max Street mentioned above will hold even more, but has a heavier pedal and costs more.

Quick brakes question..
They are the same as R33 and R34 GTR Brembo's but the offset and rear fitment is different, which means you must use 350z discs, and you may have slightly reduced wheel spoke clearance. The Fronts require the bolt holes to be resized, but the rears are a total pita to fit. Requireing either custom brackets or cutting and rewelding of the hub. Much easier to use GTR rears which bolt straight on...which typically means its easier just to buy GTR fronts at the same time anyway.
