  1. The colour is defined by the Temp rating - 4600k, 6000k, 8000k ...etc The higher the number the more blue the output..and less light output you actually get. The lower the number thh whiter and brighter. They also work best on Ellipsoid style healights (like the Z has) rather than convential halogen housings.
  2. Yep, thats right.
  3. The Evo calipers require custom mounting brackets to be manufactured to fit them to the Z32 hubs. The Brackets will also be designed to match the disc offset. The 350z and R34 disc offset is different. So depends on wether you already have the brackets manufactured and which disc fitment they were manufactured for.
  4. A thread about Alan and Simon in a Caravan doing watersports ! ...and not a single joke so far. C'mon, standards are slipping....its must deserve a photoshop !
  5. I love this. Shame its an Auto
  6. Subtle is the key - Kaminari/Powertrix , Impul, Stillen
  7. yeh, I posted the details about it on here the other week, but nobody replied. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1350294#post1350294
  8. I've heard there are fitment issues with it too though, something you dont get with the 99spec. Genuine 99spec with an add-on lip is the answer....just need somebody to produce one.
  9. That list of bumpers is as comprehensive as you get. Personally I would go 99spec.
  10. Passenger footwell under carpet and board. Beneath the Main ECU. Labelled ASCD
  11. tbh, the change shouldn't of really made a noticeble difference, not at stock boost and in this weather. Sure your stock intercoolers or pipework were not leaking before ?
  12. "Typically" 500-700 for the Parts 200-300 if you want a new clutch 500-700 Labour.
  13. opps, yeh wrote it wrong way around. Although re-reading Jeff's post, noticed it says its a 330mm disc. That sounds like a Badly engineered bracket. Not seen the pad overlap before, but the unswept area is very typical. Fitting a setup like this will give you improved intital bite and you wont need as much pedal force for the same braking force - what this means is that It will "feel" better, but wont actually improve stopping distances or have a significant affect on brake fade. In fact, by increasing the front brake torque, it can alter the vehicle brake balance and potentially increase stopping distances.
  14. Yep, the issue of the overlap is incorrectly using a 330mm disc with a bracket designed to use a 324mm disc. But even so, the unswept area beneath the pad will always occur with this type of setup.
  15. one of the shows did a New Renault espace in a head-on with an older Renault Espace. The newer model literally drover straight through the older one
  16. You can bet that if it was in an NCAP crash test now it would fair very badly. Todays small hatchbacks get much better ratings than Large cars from 10 years ago..... I'd still rather crash in a Z than a Micra though, even if the micra has a better crash rating.
  17. It would of been electric as standard, but optional Manual. The Slicktop was the model that came with everything as optional, rather than standard.
  18. It goes up to Series 6 http://www.300zx.org.uk/model_variations.htm The above is not 100% accurate as there were some crossover between years, and there were some differences in U.S/Jap/UK spec and options, but gives a pretty good idea. The Difference in seats is the material used and Electric/Manual operation, other than the rare optional recaro's in later years. Leather same throughout, but the cloth material changes from Grey tweed > Blue Velour > Black Tweed. Series 1 was Electric drivers, Manual Passengers as standard. Leather or Grey Tweed Sereis 2-3 was Electric drivers, Electric Passengers as standard. Leather or Velour Series 4 onwards Manual standard, and Electric became optional. Leather or Black Tweed There are some early series 1 that are running around with Both Manual as well.
  19. Thats what I mean - It makes very little to no difference having the bumper on/off. The problem bolt is the one on the inside rear, accessed via the nose panel area. Have never removed bumper to remove headlights, other than Z's that already had the bumper off for other reasons.
  20. No need to remove bumper to remove headlights.
  21. Can never make my mind up if I like the Genuine 99 headlights or not......so spending about 1k on them would be a No from me.
  22. Your best of searching on twinturbo.net and 300zxclub.com , I've read threads about them before there. No experience myself with them.
  23. It either wasn't haynes or it was'nt for a Z32. They only did a Z31 manual, and that was only for the U.S Market.
