Yes, Recaro's were factory fitted to the 300zx from around 95 on certain versions, but they are just Regular recaro's. You'd most likely have to custom fabricate the mounts though, as recaro dont sell Z specific mounts.

Its not something I see normally but when its mentioned I do notice the smile, but still say they are the best looking Z bumper available. Really modernises the front end compared to pre99 - and no other bumper can compare in quality and fitment either.

Yep, as Murt says all NA's are Imports. In fact the Majority of all 300zx's in the UK are imports (about 80%). The only Uk model available was the Twin Turbo 2+2. The Import model is indeed referred to as the Fairlady in Japan, but its just a name, and we refer to them all as 300zx. Japan has a much larger range than we did, you have the option of the 2+2(LWB) and 2+0(SWB) body. The 2+2 is the longer wheel base 4 seater (by far the most common body), while the 2+0 is the rarer Short wheel base 2 seater. Both versions come with Targa roofs as standard, but the the 2+0(SWB) was also available as even rarer Slicktop (non-targa) and Convertible. You will need to make sure your insuring the correct model as you mention though, as some of the mainstream insurance companies wont offer insurance on imports. Do a forum search for insurance, and you will find hundreds of threads recommending different companies.
