Cant boost past 17-18psi, causes?! expert opinoins plz jimmer? legrath? jeff? smithy?
How have you tested for leaks ? A smooth idle is no indication, sounds like at higher pressure a leak is being forced open.

bring a trailer.com.. 300zx...
yep, U.S models did not have wing indicators, and the 1990 model had no badge. After 1990 they had the Nissan logo

Nice example, but I could not live with that Rare (U.S only) Red interior option.

tyre wear
The alignment is out either from Lowered aftermarket suspension, or worn and sagging springs & shocks. The front has no camber adjustment, the rear has a little adjustment. May be worth getting toe checked, which is adjustable. If its camber and not toe, you will need adjustable arms to cure or new replacement stock suspension.

Does a tailgate need to open for MOT ?
No, The spare tyre is NOT part of the MOT Test, so cannot fail you on it. Thts one rule I know......As told to me by MOT tester ....and I've also checked in the MOT Manual ("This inspection applies to Tyres fitted to the road wheels only. The vehicle presenter should be informed when it is noticed that there is a defective tyre on a spare wheel.") .....and on the AA website "A spare tyre is not a testable item in the MOT test, though the examiner may draw your attention to an unserviceable item as a matter of courtesy."

Radiators
Yep, UK radiator is the same fit as a Jap radiator, except the UK one has built in autobox oil cooling.

Boost/oil temp gauges
That are useless ! The water temp gauge in particular is non linear. It will stay in the middle settings from around 65-105 degrees ! If you have an overheating problem, you wont know till its too late. This biggest cause of engine failures is from owners not realising there is a overheating problem, and subsquently blowing the head gasket. Water temp - single most important aftermarket gauge !!

hole by radiator cap
You can just diconnect/block off the oil cooler pipes if you have a seperate oil cooler. You'll need to repair the rad somehow to fix the expansion pipe to it, as its snapped off. Would be best to replace rad. What is should look like :

Who has the most powerful ZX in the UK?
Macca has not posted a Dyno sheet. btw - Cj's car and Bobgenie's car is the same. CJ sold it to bobgenie, but it has been extensively rebuilt since.

Does a tailgate need to open for MOT ?
The condition of the spare tyre is not part of the MOT
-
hole by radiator cap
you have a plastic pipe broken off there....that should go to the overflow bottle ! Lower down pipes are for Oil cooler, and are not connected to the radiator core.

Does a tailgate need to open for MOT ?
ok, Im suprised, but like I said I dont know the exact rules, I've never seen the boot opened in all the MOT's I've taken cars too and assisted with through the trade. I've had experience with a dodgy MOT tester in the past....I had his license taken off him, but If my boot did'nt open I would'nt be worried about an MOT.

and do you ?

Boost/oil temp gauges
Water temp - single most important aftermarket gauge !! Boost pressure - Essential for cars with increased boost (unless you have a EBC with built in display), otherwise go Oil pressure. If you want cheap, then Autogauge are good value for money. Autometer is pretty decent middle of the road stuff, Otherwise Defi, Blitz, Greddy for $$

Does a tailgate need to open for MOT ?
Boot does not need to be opened for MOT ! If there was an issue with accident damage or severe corrosion to the top rear suspension mounts and Tester subsequently wanted to inspect from the inside then could have an issue, but it would fail in that case anyway. In a hatchback/coupe access could be gained via the rears seats in such a situation anyway. I dont have an MOT license, but I have watched & assisted many MOT inspections and have never seen the Boot opened.

anyone know the value of??
Jap wheels pretty much worthless , 10 a penny. But a pair of UK rears with decent tyres can fetch 100 notes They look like UK rears to me Jap rears are 7.5". UK rears are 8.5"
