  1. One of my favourite songs and albums. I recall not long ago that it was used for a scene in the TV show Seal Team; where they had lost one of the team and it was a sequence of this song playing and the team lifting there lost colleague out of the plane after the mission. It was a very Americanised scene but i started singing along and the wife asked how i knew the words. :)
  2. So just discovered that i can apply for a Irish Passport and i'm wondering if any of you Irish pure bloods know if i can ? My grand parents are Irish but my mother was born in Scotland like myself. My mother seems to think because of my heritage i can apply for an Irish passport and all that's needed is details of my grand parents. Anyone else heard of this ?
  3. I'm here most days too. :)
  4. Back to the manufacturer.
  5. Amazing weather today up north so took the zed out for a spin, :) Got as far as the stones on the drive as i forgot i never had an engine installed. Since she was out i gave her a good wash and scrub down.
  6. Always new the zed was a lady but this is ridiculous.
  7. Try this : https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173112-Tech-leaking-recircs-corrosion
  8. I've been trying to start the zed for a few months now and its been over fuelling like a bitch. Anyways the engine is now back upright and stripped, just need to get it on a pallet and shipped.
  9. Bad news for my engine, Looks like i have busted bearings and they will need to be swapped out and the crank too possibly. Plan now is to strip the non essentials needed for shipping and get it back to be fixed.
  10. I wasn't sure, but it's the pee shooter exhaust tips at the end that gives it away.
  11. So now the engine is on the stand, what's the safest way to rotate it 180?
  12. I may have spotted a zed in a youtube video i was watching. What do you think ? Full video is here :
  13. Sump is now off :) To get into the driver side bolts i had to remove the turbo, oil tree and gearbox brackets. Good news is there is no apparent shavings and i used a magnet all round the bottom of the sump.
  14. Engine now removed, and bolted on to the stand. I now have a huge void in my zed again and a puddle of water and oil on the floor.
  15. New engine crane has just arrived , Time to start building.
  16. Not posted in a while with an update of my zed as its not really great news. At the start of last month i did manage to get the car started and got her up to temperature but she developed a low end tick. So after some advice she is stripped down again ready to pull the engine out to inspect the bottom end. Only took me a few hours to strip her down as i'm getting fairly efficient in the process but i never had an engine stand or crane to pull the engine back out. I now have a new stand and a new crane i currently on route hopefully arriving today. Soon as the engine is back out i can flip it over and remove the sump for inspection. Hopefully its nothing serious and i can get it sorted asap.
  17. Upgrade process is automatic now ! Usually happens within an hour of the first new post.
  18. Happy Birthday Simon. All the best
  19. Go watch a uncut Bottom Live episode, they are hysterical.

  21. Belated Happy Birthday.
  22. I'll book mine at the end of the month when i have some cash to pay for it.
  23. Possibly, It was purchased from someone who used it on track.
  24. So found myself with a strange situation of my zed been stuck outside on the stones. Today for the first time in months the zed was off its stilts and was towed backwards out of the garage onto the stones. I done this to clear up all the oil leaks and various other fluids spilt on the garage floor. Getting it out was easy enough as i just used the wifes car to tow her out. Two hours later when we went to push her manually back in she wouldnt budge. Turns out when i fitted the calipers and discs i tightened the handbrake shoe far too tight. So i had to jack the car up on the stones and remove both wheels to adjust the shoes and release the brakes. 3 Hours for a simple 30 minute clean up job.
  25. Even Better
