  1. Its ok, there is no VAT, lol
  2. Not had an update for a month and a bit so here goes : Due to the caps for the cams locking out when torqued and also a few other issues I've had to source replacement cam blocks. Many thanks to Mikeybean for supplying these at a very reasonable cost. Back to my rebuild and the blocks are layer caked in all kinds of crap so I've completely striped them down and organised all the parts to go back in order later to ensure no issues this time round. I've had to steep them in a soapy solution for a few days then rinse them off a few times. I've been using an engine degunk solution on them which has lifted away a lot of the crap but the carbon on the inner sections remains. I would prefer a deep clean but funds are nearly non existent so does anyone know of anything I can steep the blocks in for a few days. My brother suggested diesel but never heard of that before. So far I've manually scoured over the head area with soft brillo pads to get rid of the old gasket and also clean the valve areas. Any other suggestions ?
  3. Lol, funkypower is my mates, they may list it but not sure they would have it. More likely have to order it in at cost.
  4. Got my new one from conceptz, don't think anywhere in the UK sell them
  5. Yes, Loads, I had to send them about 30 or so pictures to cover everything I did along with all my current receipts. Everything from the new wheels, suspension, new rubbers all round, interior, engine, new spray job, all the arms for suspension linkage etc I currently have an agreed valuation of 10k for the build i'm doing as its not complete, after which its to be re-evaluated.
  6. Been with them for a few years and I have my agreed valuation with them too. Never had an issue and they are always prompt with updates and policy changes when I need them.
  7. You can add them in later by adding the stock boost sensor and changing the clocks.
  8. All insurance providors will not payout for incidents on a track. Were you expecting to be covered for track use ?
  9. On behalf of the committee i'd like to welcome Mikey Bean and Gonzo back to the normal member base. Both of there probation periods have come to and end and they can now (if they wish) subscribe to become full members again. Please welcome them back and help them get settled in again. All the best guys and thanks for the good behavour :) Lee

  11. Everythings undercover, weighted down or in the garage :)
  12. Crap weather in Ayrshire today, Dull and covered in clouds with a constant misty rain.
  13. Lee Dent has been given a permanent Ban for misrepresenting his business and self to the club member base. Full committee announcement will be given separately.
  14. You're gonna get a ban before lee does, :)
  15. Lee has plenty of opportunity to respond and this thread being in public domain is open for him to do so. I'm sure Lee has many customers who are lucky to never have any issues and even though I've personally has an issue I can also say that Lee went out his way for me too and fixed my mother in-laws car when it broke down on the way to Lee's. Unfortunately; the Bad stuff tends to stick in peoples minds more than the good. My issue happened over two years ago and I dismissed it and never even knew the extent until last month. I actually posted about it over a month ago but I did not name names and insurance settled and there was no benefit in doing anything.
  16. Not to forget Ian Smith (300zx_666) At the time (two years ago) Lee said that Ian owed him over 2k for work been done on Ians zeds. Lee held both Ians zeds to ransom and chatting to Ian yesterday they were never returned and far as he is aware have now been broken or sold.
  17. Hi Tom, His time has come and now its on the open forum I'm sure many more will come forward with stories. I have the unfortunate experience much like yourself to have directly suffered abet indirectly by the hands of Lee Dent. Three years ago near the end of my last zed build named Purple Rain; Mr Dent rebuilt and engine for me in which I then installed in my shiny new zed, less than a month on the road the engine seized up on the way to its first show at the NEC. Now i'm not sure if this was fate or not but that broken down Zed within 20 minutes of breaking down was struck by a large semi-trailer which carved a whole bigger than the iceberg that hit the Titanic down the driver side. Luckily my insurance paid out the full valuation and I've started my rebuild once more. Now just last month I decided to break that very engine with the purpose of moving it out my garden rather than being a feature and I finally discovered that the failure was caused by what I would call an exploded piston because I found it in shrapnel sized pieces and jammed up inside. The second item that concerned me was the gaskets or what was left of them were not of the brand I gave him. I've hinted a few times about this over the last few months but as I got a big insurance pay out and my new build is to a higher quality it didn't bother me too much, - I am pissed but its been nearly three years since the event that took my zed away. Lee
  18. Its always the case of your the last one to get a parking space and squeeze into a space and later everyone buggers off and make you look like a **** who can't park.
  19. LOL, I'll let him off but I hate when people take up two parking spaces.:2guns:
  20. his 300zx email should be sorted now, gremlins have been put down :)
  21. Hi Ashley, Welcome to the club, it was myself who replied on facebook. You will hopefully get a much better response on here and i'm sure our member base in that area would be up for a convoy.
