Hi Mate, If this is what you want then i'm sure the club can refund those involved. I will suspend your trader status when you confirm this again and when you feel the time is right then you can upgrade again. Not sure what was discussed regarding posting pictures up but as long as People don't ask for business then its just pictures. The Mod Squad will edit any unforeseen posts prompting you for business. Its only a trial and we may ditch it shortly. People wanted to donate to a cause yesterday and I thought it would be a way to track it all. To be honest anyone can donate directly to our paypal address at anytime. On this occasion the member base made the call to donate not us, I just implemented a way to control it easier.

This is now active and will be treated for the moment as in 'Active Testing'. The general idea is to allow any user to Donate towards the Club on behalf of a Trader. For fairness I think that the funds go to traders who are already established and have 1 year under the belt. On the index page you will now see a 'Contribution Goal' towards the bottom of the page. This is currently set at £200 to cover the year as a general target of 5 x the base fee of £40. But if a Traders base fee is paid then you can if you wish Donate to other addons like a personal section or banner. Your donation can be anonymous but we need to know which trader you are putting the funds towards. Each active trader now has a donate button under there names and also a new Donate button has been add uptop. I hope this system works out as it may keep the Traders we all love active for much longer. Regards Lee

And just to piss him off even more, the banner is now enabled as another anonymous donation of £15 was made. Better get sewing buddy as lots of new customers coming your way ! After the group buy is done with of course :)

I don't have access to the paypal system to create specific paypal donation links. Nothing stoping you from paypal over as a gift funds to the club on behalf of a member. :) You just need to ensure that you note the cause of the transaction then PM or email one of the committee. Call it a Gift Card which the Traders can cash in. I've raised this point with the committee and we will see if its a viable method. :)

We can easily setup a donation link, if the member base wishes to pay in part or in full for a Traders subs. I'm happy to donate to the cause myself and i'm sure more will follow. If you all feel that giving back to our Traders in this method is suitable we can setup separate nominated links. For anyone wishing to donate for Mondo currently please don't use the current setup membership process as you will only turn yourself into a Trader.

Hi all, We the committee have been put in a tricky situation here and no matter which one of us clicked the close button we would get back lash for it. Simons thread titled 'In readiness for the Group Buy, a warm up...' starts with mentioning the group buy. We have absolutely no issues with Simon posting up pictures as a standard member; But we all know what Simons Trade is so its hard to avoid bringing it up. Comparing these posts in my opinion are not the same as Tech threads as posted by Previous Traders like Jeff. Jeffs threads were informational and helped the end user carry out work on there own using there own tools where as Simons posts are of a completed product to be sold. That as it is I myself have personally invested in the group buy and eagerly await my cue to send my parts down to Simon. But as a committee member this thread was heading the wrong way and its prompting members to ask about Simons work which is of Supreme Quality. Since Simon stood down as a Trader the committee has revised the Membership and Trader fees all of which were discussed at the AGM. The tiered system was introduced as not all Traders operate alike and we thought it was fairer solution for all. You can all see that I myself are now operating as a trader I can assure you that I have paid my fees in full before I added my section and banners. If I started showing pictures of websites I completed or work that I have previously done when not a Trader how many would hit the report this post ? I think Simons post however unintentional can only lead to one thing, You have become a victim of your own success. The phrase 'Back door Trading' should be used very loosely, as we are not accusing Simon of purposely posting more content to get more business. Its the member base approaching Simon in these threads that could lead to a bigger issue. Should we open the thread again ? I'm not sure, and it would have to be discussed further with all the committee. Regards Lee
