When you build a car... any car... you have 3 choices

Cheap, Fast, or Reliable ... now you can only pick 2 of the 3....

If you pick Cheap and Fast it will not be Reliable

If you pick Cheap and Reliable it will not be Fast

If you pick Fast and Reliable it will not be Cheap

Pick your 2 and build your own car.

This and the original (black stitch) are by far and away the best gear knobs. Perfectly weighted, matched with replacement stock or bronze bushings (not a horrible short shifter) and you get a lovely smooth shift.

I'll take a pic of it tonight, its still in great condition.

Swap for the clutch pedal ?

Ha!! You read my mind, fair swap as far as I’m concerned, you need a clutch pedal and I need an OEM gear knob for Redzer:thumbup1:

I’d just PM’ed you the exact same deal

In the interests of continuing innuendo, my knob has been out of action since the kids arrived. It was fairy new and un molested, but has suffered a bit from neglect.

  • 4 months later...

Wrong thread  and I have now inadvertently started this off again:lol:

Sadly my knob has seen far too much action over the last 30 years . . .

Anyone got a better (OEM) one they are prepared to part with?

Cheers Peter

Think you need to go get a prescription for some cream !

As it happens I found a helpline in a local phone box and told them that I have a dilapidated piece of Leather in dire need of renovation.

It just so happens that they have a specialist and she will soon polish it up and have it looking like new in no time.
