  1. At least I won't be the only one, had planned to find a local jetwash too, clean the motorway off lol.
  2. Haha, just raining heavily here, serves me right for trying to clean mine after work yesterday...
  3. I can do the whole weekend now, if your willing to have me and it I'd be more then happy, Just roped our valeting team into helping tomorrow, She does clean up quite well.
  4. Sounds like time off won't be an issue if needed, my boss is on about swapping Saturdays so may be able to stay after all,
  5. Could possibly drop my blue slicktop up, would have to check I can have Thursday off, but would have to get the train home that night, and come get it Sunday. But it's nothing special, and Craigs zed is nicer iirc,
  6. Both my zeds... You did say dream right? I think Ian greenfields 99 spec ( great car and my favourite colour) Mondo 2+0 ( best interior until you do mine lol) Bobs or jaffas slicktop race car ( proof there's more to zeds) Not a forum car but I'd like z1's hardtop vert, but that's more because I want to see it lol
  7. Personally happy with the selection, well nearly, missing the best version the mighty slicktop, so I'd best make sure one of mine is up to standard for next year. Just for the record was 7 lol, had volunteered my blue slicktop as a backup zed... Lol
  8. It's currently booked for 16 people, bit that's a good point Can I get people to let me know if there still coming and how many thanks.
  9. OK venue is confirmed, The white bear It's not far from the original place, still has a good car park etc We will be on 2 large tables next to each other unfortunately, but best they can do, I'm just waiting for confirmation of the time, Hope this is good for everyone,
  10. Rang the white bear, no management there to confirm, so I've emailed them,
  11. Unfortunately Botley hill is definitely a no go, don't think they were too interested in a car club meeting there, as they haven't been easy to deal with, The horseshoe up the road is out, There's a gastro pub (white Hart I think) I'm waiting to get back to me as they have room and a good car park. But if anyone knows/ recommends anywhere I'll try to get hold of them.
  12. Welcome to the club, always good to have another member in Sussex, does look like you've a good example there.
  13. OK I have the 11th February & 28th October booked for us next year, It's open to all members, from any region. Hopefully we'll have a good turn out, could potentially open it up to the zclub, depending on what people think. They have asked I make people aware of some information. "I would also like to draw your attention to the following which is sent to all clubs The cafe’s car park can only accommodate 50 medium sized cars and that a few days prior to the meet we would require a list of registration numbers of those attending so that this list can be given to the marshal(s) who help to park up. Kindly also be advised that meets at the cafe are not something to be posted on social media as a notice, event, or open invitation to thousands of people to come along, neither the cafe or its environs can manage such numbers. We are experiencing problems with the local police re the few that indulge in anti-social behaviour on the Old North Circular Road in the environs of the cafe, so I would also like to draw your attention to the below. We ask that you please note (and inform your group) that Ace Cafe London will not tolerate dangerous or anti-social driving or riding, and that vehicles seen being driven or ridden, on the road in such a manner outside the cafe or its local environs will be reported to the authorities. We do not want meets having to be cancelled. Please also ensure that all attending are aware not to bring any food or drink on to the premises (to include the car park!); our kitchen is open from 7am to 10pm (9.30pm on Sunday) daily to keep patrons fed and the bar is open until 11pm (10.30pm on Sunday) for drinks - the place only works with your support. The Borough of Brent is a Controlled Drinking Zone (CDZ), thereby consuming alcohol in the street(s) is not permitted. Bringing your own alcohol to a licensed premises is also illegal (yes, some people think this is OK!). The Antisocial Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014 directly affects Ace Cafe London. Wheelies, Stoppies, Drifting, Burnouts, Stunts and excessive noise at the cafe and on public roads are totally unacceptable to Police, neighbours and Ace Cafe London. The cafe can be closed by these actions. The cafe's future is in your hands"
  14. Right been given some available dates for us to have a meet at the ace cafe in London, Need to book them asap as most are gone already Options Saturday 11th or 18th of February (11am to 4pm) Saturday 10th June 11-4 Saturday 14 or 28 October 11-4 A few in Nov and Dec, plenty of mid week ones and late 6-11pm ones but I think the above are best suited to us. I'm thinking 18th Feb a first meet of the year, and maybe 28 Oct as a year end one, What do people think?
  15. It'll definitely be 20th, im away next week but I'll have some time on Friday to get confirmation from the pub ( or find an alternative in the local are if nessisary)
  16. It's a only a day event, just Saturday 22nd of April.
  17. I've just contacted the ace cafe on booking a stand for incarnation it's on the 22 of April on maderia drive in Brighton Good free show particularly if we get the weather. Please post if you interested so I can eventually give them an idea of numbers I've also asked about having our own night/ meet at the ace cafe.
  18. The pubs not been particularly helpful took a few attempts to get a response from them, we can have the large table after 4pm, but they want a £5 deposit per per, i don't know how people feel about this, or of anyone has any alternative ideas of venue?
  19. i know of this car, built by per4mance turbochargers, for Paul Clare (of minardi F1 or was), was one hell of a machine, but would like to know what happened to its original engine and wheels etc, was supposed to have been exported to Germany so not sure how it ended up here with a different motor and wheels and a bloody Q plate... was 500hp at the rears when it was built. it was an os giken twin plate clutch and fly, and it never has those cheap lights on it, had a lovely set of works VS alloys, sorry for the anorak moment, but read about it in a magazine years ago, one of the reasons I ended up with 300zx's lol I doubt I can find the sort of money its worth, but if anyone on here buys it can tell you want magazine It was featured in, (I still have it ....)
  20. im more or less 6'5 and have 2 slicktop (SWB) and had LWB before, you should be fine, might take some playing with the seat but they are electric (on 90%) and have a good degree of movement, the shorty is the one you want if you can find one...
  21. R5's (500 not RM5) are new cams, mild (S1) 100 are reground manual OE cams (requiring cores), all are sets of 4 as far as I'm aware, specs
  22. i've jwt R5 "race" cams, overkill for you, "Mild" is definatly best for you, 2.5" pipework is good, but can be a bit messy, may lose your oem look under the bonnet. modernising the power of the zed to bring it in line with its newer rivals, logical step for OEM+
  23. edit* got your 4 good zeds don't mine anymore lol... ill be coming up on the Saturday and/or Sunday anyway, see you guys there.
  24. i've contacted the pub for the 20th of november, waiting to hear back,
  25. give them a ring, very few can quote for an import online, I was insured with admiral until a week ago with 2 import zeds, all ill say is they don't cover modifications (they will insure the car but in the event of an accident they don't cover the mods only std parts.)
