  1. same as Stephen, will have to be next year for me, new clutch and a remap before mines ready to play...
  2. looking at it sunday the 20th November sounds best,
  3. oh yeah, i want to go and see that this year, has anyone any ideas for a better date?
  4. that sounds better then pod, its a long way for me, so always annoyied me that i went all that way for 3-4 runs, why i've been to north weald more, think we should arrange a date and get a few of us up there, would be a laugh, particuarly if maybe pete and bob wanted to join us for some tuition?
  5. there are a few differences, aux belts (pas pump is different), injectors, ptu, camshafts, VTC, etc... depends on how in-depth the kit is, the timing belts are all the same, pretty sure water pumps are the same, don't think the tensioner is different either. you can get most of the parts over here, but the tensioner is far more expensive from Nissan uk...
  6. what sort of date would be good for people? id suggest the beginning of November, probably a sunday 6th or 13th?
  7. just realised Shakespeare raceway is 5 mins further for me then santa pod, post up when your going next year if my zeds ready ill come along... cant comment on the times as I cant find the slips for my silver zed and pete gets cross as I don't have the 60ft times... but did just find a slip for my old LWB NA, .7467 reaction 2.601 60ft 10.164 1/8 @ 71.93mph 15.562 1/4 @ 90.70mph yes I know very slow... but point is 60ft its faster, as the slips look like some of my first runs, id put down to the NA's shorter final drive. (before anyone takes the piss, just seen the date on it was my first ever drag day, and it was an NA with a huge spoiler slowing it down lol)
  8. hadn't realised the fastest zed run was 10.9, and just like that my dream of a 10 second zed has died.... stop ruining things for me pete, hehe
  9. just a suggestion, given the amount of interest in not camping, (I don't know the area at all) but is there any premier inn type places? thought thoses of us that stayed in the premier inn during the agm had a laugh still... also means not loading the cars up with camping equipment etc,
  10. I did use all mine otherwise id send you one to match up, Stephen does have a point my were alright although did have to trim the pas bracket slightly to get the drivers side sitting right.
  11. really? mine came with them, where did you get them from? had a bag of manifold to head nuts, washers and studs, turbo to manifold studs nuts and washers, heat shield bolts and gaskets... centre of the picture between elbows and manifold, long joined bag of bits, same packet as manifold to turbo gasket....
  12. na diff? improves acceleration vs top speed apparently, what tyres you using? I guess anything that helps breathing will spool the turbos faster, which drag strip did you go to? hopefully ill get mine to few next year
  13. seen it in a few things favorite place for the engine besides the z32 is the concept mid-4 (looks funny the wrong way round) this is nice too (e-vade kit car) car is ugly as hell but engine is nice... then this ford is pretty Kool
  14. 750rwhp + 200 nitrous? wow, glad to hear your aiming for totb next year, aiming to take mine too, well below your level though :( would like to see it run, what the new engine fitted with to get that sort of power?
  15. you'll need them too depending on turbo, but I mean the 12 manifold to head studs, if you look particularly at the nr manifold top rear youll see there only just a nut size gap, the oem stud is too long, the supplied ones are slightly shorter, there are a couple more that don't fit well with oem studs, but once I realised I changed the lot.
  16. same as the others price dependent on camping or cabin, never do sleep well in a tent lol...
  17. yeah that's your abs actuator mate,
  18. engine out and up, may have to drop the sub frame to make it easier anyway, from personal experience its enough of a fiddle with it on a stand, make sure you use the shorter studs provided with the manifold, the longer omen ones will give you fitting issues particularly on the rear and lower studs. with the ams elbows you really will struggle to clear the column no mater what you do, tbh in a decent garage pulling the motor should be fairly straight forward, mine was out in 2 days on my (wonky and angled) driveway, with your other work, steering rack etc, engine being out of the way will make life easier on both fronts...
  19. as long as ive a running zed I'm in... so 50/50 chance hehe...
  20. agreed, great day, great weather, gave the zed a good shakedown highlighted a few areas which need attention, sorry about the clutch smoke everyone,
  21. how are the pictures saved? what format? might be able to recover them?
  22. not fun without power steering lol, fixed mine today, replace the oil line, there's a bit of skin left on my hand lol, redid the exhaust again, still blowing slightly, nnot convined I still don't have anoth oil leak, but shes home now, cant risk the brighton run with it, ill be using the blue one.
  23. I think it was quick enough, its a pita to get too, but should only need a new hose, my list just gets longer....
  24. well that's the end of my zeds weekend adventure, I have a hole in my oil cooler feed hose.... luckily it developed on the way to work this morning, (1/4 mile from work) noticed the smell so pulled it into the workshop instead of the staff car park (another mile up the road) luckily the huge capacity of my sump meant I was still just on the dipstick, but every time the system pressurizes it sprays a jet of oil all over my engine.... all good fun... had to leave it at work,
  25. I have a sony z3, was water proof till I opened it up, best camera at the time, best battery, and big enough I can see what I'm doing without my contacts in... had the z1 before it, waiting for the sony XZ to come out,
