Posted September 26, 20168 yr I have just bought a 93 tt Japanese import Looking at buying a timing kit in USA ANYONE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IN 90-93 and 94-96 engines in US
September 26, 20168 yr there are a few differences, aux belts (pas pump is different), injectors, ptu, camshafts, VTC, etc... depends on how in-depth the kit is, the timing belts are all the same, pretty sure water pumps are the same, don't think the tensioner is different either. you can get most of the parts over here, but the tensioner is far more expensive from Nissan uk... September 27, 20168 yr These two links should have most of what you need: https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-oem-120k-120000-mile-complete-timing-belt-kit-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-13001-0xx12_p_3849.php https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-oem-drive-belt-set-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-a17950blt_p_1001.php I don't think you'll run into any differences with USDM vs JDM parts but there are those small differences in the years. Last I checked you can also get a Gates timing belt from MicksGarage if that's any help.

September 29, 20168 yr Is this a regular event? I probably won't make it this Saturday, but planning to go to the one in Bray on Sunday morning.
September 29, 20168 yr I used rockauto.com Use the menu down the left side to choose nissan, then correct year, then correct engine and then choose your bits. The timing belt for my NA, including sales tax and import duty, came to a grand price of £108. I had the DAYCO 95180K1S kit. Rockauto were really good, took paypal, posted it the same day and I got it 8 days later, which is quicker than royal mail sending stuff within the UK. The kit was good quality and fitted great, just a shame my Zed died after 2000 miles! 1990 Black MT NA LWB = 2014 - 2020 (Sold) 1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2015 - 2017 (Stripped & Scrapped) 1991 Red MT TT LWB = 2017 - 2021 (Sold) 1991 Black MT TT LWB = 2018 - 2021 (Sold) 1989 Red AT TT LWB = 2021 - XXXX (Kept)
September 29, 20168 yr I'm also running a gates timing belt kit from rockauto.com. The previous belt was also a gates and that has been there since 2010 and was like new. I often use rockauto since prices there are often 50% or more cheaper than buying new parts from dealers locally...
September 29, 20168 yr I got an OEM one from conceptz but without the kit and cost me around £40 inc shipping.
