  1. Did recently and compression and leak down were fine, ( maybe too good particularly leak down was better then some newer cars we've tested) But it's had new turbos, new valve stem seal, new pcv system, so doesn't leave alot, just wish I'd aleast made one 1/4 mile run in her... Will have a long think maybe I'll have a go myself,
  2. Thanks but I've got a couple already but I think it's time to let the experts sort it,
  3. Well come to a cross roads with the silver zed, I'm now convinced the engine is gone ( rings) fitted new pcv system, then tried the one way value trick. Still smokes after boost, but now it's for a few seconds instead of a puff. Really disappointed after all the work it's out for another year.. Just got to decide if it's worth parting with the na to fund a trip to jimmer...
  4. Yeah I'm in, someone has to represent the swb...
  5. Brands prices are all over the place, so are the type of event and noise regulations, but I've done brands a fair few times, so definitely interested in somewhere else. My silver one is 100db with the bungs in, that's my issue, then again I've the na too which is much quieter, and slower... Good news on the test Ali, your issue would probably be track insurance, your too young for some of them, not mandatory, but after all that work would be a shame if something happened,
  6. Depending on a few things ( noise regulations for the track particularly) I'd be up for it, I'm doing brands Hatch on the 5th of February, Would like to try goodwood at some point.
  7. Booked my hotel, staying at the premiere Inn Hinckley like last year, was good, would recommend it means a nice big convoy on Sunday too.
  8. Sorry it's a no from me.
  9. 1. Craig (3x Food) 2. (adl) phoenix (sat+sun+food)
  10. They did mention it, but ive not been asked yet, I'll be marshaling so won't be any issues there.
  11. I'd forgotten about this, didn't go last year either, as long as it doesn't conflict with the agm I'd be up for it.
  12. Seriously get a 370z for a proper test drive, sold my old zed and bought one, ( ok mine was riddled with faults) but they don't hold a candle to the 300zx, Mines gone and now I've 2 300's again much happier.
  13. notice to all members the South East region are holding a meet at Londons famous ace cafe, we have the main car park to ourselves from 11am to 4pm on Saturday the 11th February, Any member welcome, Link to original thread
  14. Reminder to everyone this is booked from 11am-4pm on the 11th of February, open to all members, plenty of space, It's been suggested we did a convoy out once we finish, maybe somewhere for some pictures if there are any suggestions, Ace cafe's website ( were on the event list lol)
  15. Haha, video was for me to see when and how it was smoking, not much to see. Only bit that's not smokey or incriminating lol. [video=youtube_share;6g55ZAKF97E]
  16. Well supposed to be on a trackday today, spent all week repairing and preparing the car, just fixed yesterday then got an email it's cancelled due to snow... Not impressed So took the silver one out with the camera on, I'm definitely getting a puff of smoke when I lift off, ordered new pcv valves and hoses, but given I've replaced the valve stem seals twice recently, and the turbos are new, I'm thinking it's a guide. Oh well best source a pair of heads for rebuilding...
  17. I've got both tt and na, previously had lwb variants of both, I really enjoy the na, it's a manual slicktop so it's light, great for back roads, ok lacking in motorway power to a degree, but how often can you actually use the power on our roads, Had a lwb na manual before, the lighter slicktop or swb is the way to go they handle and feel nicer imo. Personally wouldn't have an na auto but that's me.
  18. I urgently need a passenger front caliper for a late na, some idiot used alloy bleed nippels so when I went to bleed them it sheared off, we've spent ages trying to save the caliper but it's ruined, so if anyone has one (or a pair) I'd need them posted asap to Sussex, paypal waiting Thanks ash.
  19. Good to know I'm not alone with an ever growing list, I'd join in and list mine but with 2 zeds both fighting for my time and attention, it would just be depressing...
  20. As we were quiet and I'm not getting to drive it for a while took the silver zed into work, found a few issues, still haven't worked out of its smoking on boost or on overrun (after boost), can't really let it spool at the moment because it's traction issues. very childish but did enjoy cruising through the busy high Street with the exhaust bungs removed... You can keep you Christmas music... Can't beat the sound of a child asking it's mum: " mum, what sort of lamborghini is that?" when I stopped at a crossing :cool3:
  21. If it's been stood, could easily be a seized thermostat, not expensive or very difficult to change so worth doing to rule out, the ecu temp sensor will be causing you issues if it's reading incorrectly or not at all, is it bringing on a fault code? As Stephen says burping / bleeding the system of air is definitely worth trying too, cross the easy/cheap stuff fixes off the list first, hopefully it's nothing major.
  22. Retails at £26.28 +vat, I've just ordered one for me, but mine was £22 Inc staff privileges hehe...
  23. Someone best hide my can opener...
  24. Had trouble starting my blue Zed so brought it into work today, battery was dead. And found the source of my over fueling, throttle position sensor was completely wrong. Now set correctly running 10x better
  25. I bought it off ebay second hand, turned out to be from jaffa on here, paid £50 for the full cage, then cost me 100 to have it modified into a half cage and to sit where I wanted it, sat too far forward and the harnesses bar was wrong. Pretty strong cage, given how lethal my zed is at the moment it's nice knowing it's there.
