  1. Well done Paul, look forward to seeing where you go with it,
  2. If you've a alloy rad, their is normally a drain plug in the Os of the rad,
  3. I know you pain too well, as much as I'd like the silver zed to be there ill have to be in the blue na,
  4. Probably a no for me, but there is a boxhill to Brighton run on the 14th, if anyone was interested
  5. Just looking at routes it 5 mins longer to go m25/m3 rather then a27, so I'll meet you lot at fleet too.
  6. Tbh I suffer pretty much the same thing. Spelling check makes it worse some times The zed is the bset soprts car eevr mdae end of disssiucon (apparently if the word contains the correct letters in the wrong order as long as the first and last are correct it's still readable lol) mgiht be blul sihte... I do like the R8, but still wonder if it's too clinical, give me a diablo anyday, supercars should be silly imo
  7. Let's face it were all bias as we chose zeds, the point I was trying to make is, a 300zx is special it's the flaws the noise it's the attention they get, and my personal favourite the confusion when someone doesn't know what it it are what make them an occasion to drive, I'm sure the audi is a very good car, like the 370z was for me. But imo they just arent special. I like the phrase " built not bought " which applies to pretty much every zed,
  8. I thought similar and bought a 370z, hated it, gone within a few months, modern sports cars can't hold a candle to the z32, Was going to make a hair dressing comment but got beat to it, but let's face it audi tt isn't really even a sports car.
  9. I'll be at the tesco meet, not sure on my route yet
  10. Nice... It's on the back burner till the mechanical gremlins are solved but still thinking about a colour change.
  11. Just before I order a new one, has anyone got a good radiator for sale? Mines losing water fast, (nice hole in it) trying to keep it driveable till I have my time off to pull the motor Even consider a know good OEM one for now.
  12. Nice find, can be unfortunate though caught me cleaning. Way back when lol.
  13. Fair point, my old na did a 2.4 at pod, which isnt great, once it's fixed I'll take it to pod, see what happens. Need to see what difference the modifications make. Would be good to get a few of us there for a laugh. Just going to leave my favourite picture of my zed here too.
  14. Don't get them at North weald, she out launched everything that lined up along side, couldn't always hold on to it, Need to go to pod once it's fixed.
  15. It's a manual slicktop twin turbo, 265 rear tyres, meisterR coilovers( far stiffer then most), was running around the 350-400 mark, and was at North weald (concrete not as sticky as santa pod)
  16. If my recaros count as part of the group deal I'd be almost definitely in, depending on numbers/discount may have the other one done too.
  17. Wait you want the tail to squat? My zeds solid probably one of the stiffest out there, it gets off the line really quickly, my problem is it gets violent going into second, but that's probably due to its cheap rear tyres it currently wear. You tried letting a bit of air out of your tyres? Not too low profile either
  18. Looking good, hopefully I'll finally make totb next year, would like to see this run in person, maybe even line up alongside ( I know I'd lose but would like to see how close i could get) I've not had issues off the line, my zed flies through first, but normally end up pedaling into second as it has a habit of getting out of shape.
  19. He's only done the structural rust, floors, strut mount, drivers rear sill, not the arches or door, ( I've a spare door anyway) not had any paint or anything as he's just a fabricator, he builds stock cars, single seaters etc, not cost that much either, I'll post some pictures once it's collected, not alot to see as most of the issues were underneath. Got the MOT booked for Saturday too, so fingers crossed.
  20. Good choice, the twin turbo drives so much better, very clever setup too, one turbo spools the other, vast improvement over the old ones.
  21. Think he kept it in a pond... Tbh I keep it outside but it's under a very good cover, (which is removed on hot days, and only put on dry.. It is a shame, but it happens, will serve me right for not going over it with a fine tooth combe, she's not dead yet, got a call from the fabricator the structural rust is gone, still some cosmetic bits but I'm collecting her tomorrow,
  22. Great job guys, had a great weekend and we had the weather,
  23. Apparently the blocks grey, the one in the picture. Could still be at fault,
  24. There's a black one wire block, think it's an earth, it had gone green inside and rotted away, Turned the key, lights came on, fuel pump started, starter nothing...
  25. Cleaned the blue one ahead of Coventry, checked on the silver one which is actually being worked on, could be back as soon as next week!!!
