16 bit ecus,
I'll try to find an early ecu then, gave an ecu warning of fuel solenoid iirc, maybe the twin turbo won't be a problem, Well I guess I'd better check it is a 16 bit ecu then, if it's been chipped maybe it's already been swapped, but my zed is a 1995.

Right I've got a late style ecu, confused as to what to do with it, it's been previously chipped, contemplating if I can afford a stand alone ecu, been recommended the link g4+ as it's a plug in for the 300zx, are there any other good ones out there any recommendations? Tried an early ecu in my old na (also 16 bit) just caused errors...

Can't forgot the year before last, queueing in my NA with the On/off padel clutch.... Not fun, although can't say there are many (if any) events that don't have similar issues, surprised they haven't tried time slots for clubs ..

Not short tern, unfortunately with sending it to jimmer sooner then intended, and hearing a few horror stories about the liquid wrap I was getting it's staying silver for now, the bodyshop have got to sort the rust out, and fit the new skirts bumper, diffuser etc. May still change its colour over the winter will see what it looks like when they're finished.

It's at our bodyshop tomorrow, they've got a month then off to jimmers in June, but it'll be with him for a few weeks so probably won't be done in time, more keen to have it ready for Coventry...

Japfest 2016 - Silverstone - Sunday 24th April - Updated with payment details
Should probably stress I've no problem with the way 370ad organised the event and would like to say a big thank you for taking the time to do it. Well I lost my spot in our line when I went out on track, wasn't too impressed by that, I was with my car most afternoon, although I may have fallen asleep at one point, lots of late nights and the other show the day before caught up with me, so I apologise if I wasn't very social, particularly as I was in a bad mood after my cars issues on the track. I personally take it as a compliment if my cars not on the japfest website, it's not some chav'd up stance "show" car, for me the 300zx is so much more then that, and again the fact there were so few appeals to me too, if that's what I wanted I'd go buy an evo or scooby and park next all the other identical cars... Castle combe had so much more atmosphere, and because you could see the track from most stands ment people stayed with their cars more. No offence intended to the zclub guys, but maybe we should have our own stand, imo nothing wrong with what they did, but if we want it different then we should make it. If I have some Support/ suggestions (constructive preferably) from the members I'm willing to try to organise next year.

What did you do to your zed today?
Stripped most of my interior ready for the body repairs. Found more then I bargained for... I can put my hand through the floor!! Now I'm struggling to justify to myself how much I'm about to spend of this... cheared myself up by trial fitting my skirts... Goes to our bodyshop Tuesday for the next month they've got their work cutout Wondering how I'll cope without it for so long as its going to jimmer after that lol...

Gave my eBay smics to Ali, and my fmic going to baz, ( thanks for the reminder should have dug that out of the garage weeks ago) My zed goes to the bodyshop next week so the bumper will be available soon.

That's interesting, Looking at the maps thought it would be different, good to hear from someone who's experienced both, and if the 675 can produce 600hp sounds good to me, can spend the extra money somewhere else, thanks.

It's why I'm thinking gtx2863r just slightly bigger then 2860, will have a degree of lag, but also a decent bit of power

I'd like into be capable of 600+ hp, but I've worked my figures for 15psi giving 500ish, and 28psi giving 650ish, based on the gtx2863r. ( assuming my maths were correct.)

The equations are really complex, not 100% sure I've got them right, but you basically need to know how much air your engine flows, and the target psi, etc.. Etc... ( taking into account it's actually only 1.5l per turbo) I've only look at where I want to be, but looking at it again, now I've finished drawing on the maps, I'll be ordering the gtx2863r, it's more efficient then the 2860 under my target conditions.

Looking at Compressor maps. Trying to remember my maths. Looks like gtx2860r is alot better then the gt675, if I'm right the the gtx 2863r and 2867r are probably too big to be efficient.

Not retested it yet, but prior to the head work, it had good compression, but either way I need to move up my time frame and have the engine rebuild, and get some new turbos... It was planned already but was going to wait till the winter...

They were 1 issue, but it developed a new fault going round Silverstone, rather then smoking on start up its mow smoking on overrun...

Yep all the work to the top end and either the rings or turbos are shot now... Water leaks probably just a old rubber hose, wasn't there before today.

Right as title really... My zeds fubar, having a rebuild and turbos / injectors... Got good support mods jwt r5 cams, 3" exhaust, 2.5" pipework ba intercoolers, selin dual intake, But which turbos should I go for? I like the look of GT675RS BB turbos, but the newer gtx are probably within my budget, I think I've the setup for the big turbos but not sure which? Hopefully someone can help me work out which is best... It will see track use, as well as drag days etc, not afraid of a bit of lag, but not too much. And going for 740cc injectors

Can anyone recommend a good transport company? Will need to get my zed to jimmer for its rebuild now I've broken it, it's in a bad way lots of smoke and sprung a coolant leak, so driving it there is looking unlikely. Thanks.

This questions more for our race guys, but what do people recommend to counter oil slouch during track use? Like the idea of a dry sump, but can't afford one, what with the engine build, turbos and injectors...
