Valve stem seal replacement...
I'll give it a go anyway, like the rope idea, not sure I trust compressed air, worst case I lose a valve and the heads have to come off...

Valve stem seal replacement...
That's annoying it said it was designed for doing it in the car... It's this one, even the instructions ad with the heads still on...

Valve stem seal replacement...
I did buy a jwt spring compresor, says it's designed for the 300zx, so will see, I do want a full rebuild, so hopefully this will buy me enough time to get the parts and funds together.

Valve stem seal replacement...
It's been suggested it's possible with the heads on, has anyone done it? My zed smokes a fair bit in the morning, but not once warm, hardly losing any oil, so pretty convinced they are to blame. Ive got some jwt cams new HD springs and seals in my z1 order, as well as other bits, I was going to do the timing belt too, Is it enough to have the piston at tdc or do I need to pressurise the cylinder too? I'm trying to do it without asking our mechanics to help, so any tips advice would be appreciated, Worst case it's heads off/ engine out, or I've another engine, but I want to try.

What to colour should I pick
Have you ever seen a high gloss liquid wrap? Very impressive finish can't tell it isn't paint. What about going pearl white? So only a subtle change,
-
What to colour should I pick
They did come in other colours, Mines silver and always has been, I'm in a similar boat to you, bored of silver but being a rare car don't want to ruin it, my solution is once our bodyshop is finished with it to have it wrapped, in my case it's going gold us spec gold, but then it can always be returned to original colour later.

What did you do to your zed today?
Was hoping to get loads done this weekend, but thanks to FedEx being unable to stick to a delivery date, I have no parts... Thanks to baz for helping out with some intercooler brackets they are now secure (no more cable ties) so could go for a drive, needed a good clean afterwards though...

370z Nismo
Haha Nismo 370z what a joke, I owned a regular 370gt and have driven our Nismo more then a few times, they are all junk, why my 370s now gone, the standard 370 in practice will not out run a 300, we lined my gt along side my 300 in low boost ( dyno 313bhp in low boost) the 300 left it, the Nismo ( if my manager is reading this then it's theoretical) matched the 300 to 3rd gear then the 300 pulled away slowly. They aren't even fast in the corners, they are over hyped and have to wonder how much of the power it actually has at the wheels...? Although my zed is a slicktop so the 370 doesn't have a huge weight advantage like the family estate models...hehe And their traction control is too invasive and can't be turned off. I always wanted one since they came out, but it's a case of don't meet your hero's, since it's been returned to our sales manager, as not fit for purpose (lots of major faults with it too) it's fund will live on in the 300zx. My rant over, and I work for Nissan lol.

Ultra racing strut bars
Was under the impression their parts only fitted swb models, looked into them a while ago as my mates a distributor, but decided my slicktops is stiff enough

Santa Pod trackday insurance
All my trackdays etc are insured with morris, it's cheaper if you doing multiple events, mine was 120 for a couple of trackdays and a drift day. I've never bothered for drag days even at North weald, but it's peace of mind, only once seen a crash a pod,

dump valve / bov / pop n bang
Ideal/ most efficient place is as close to the throttle bodies as possible, If you think as the throttle closes the pressure is released through the dump valve, if the valve is further down the pipe what direction is the air now flowing? The wrong way lol
