Yeah I will go forged, just rebuilding the heads over the winter, will take the engine out next year change the turbos and go forged pistons I've still got a block that was checked and seemed strong enough for 90mm pistons, will probably go for conrods too, for peace of mind.

I've got to rebuild my heads anyway, valve stem seals are on the way out, Not sure if I'll be going for oversized valves yet, depends on how much rooms in the budget, the r5 are the ones below solid lifters, tbh I like hydraulic lifters. On the std turbos they will probably do more harm then good, but on the turbos I want they should help me run decent boost, I want to build this zed to 600bhp, got carried away with the 370 and the build got shelved, but all good now.

Yeah it's down the bodyshop over Christmas for that, and paint and fi the new 99 spec bumper.

Cam advice.
Right long story short I sold my 370z, so now I get to spend some time and money on the 300 :) I'm planning a proper build now, but doing the heads first, so need some help on cams, looking at Jim Wolf tech r5 cams. As I'll be getting bigger turbos down the line. But what do people run? Any recommendations advice?

Right who's definitely going? Dug my zed out yesterday, checking it over at work this morning, but it's a fair drive if no one is going to be there lol.

Tyres
I have Bridgestone s001 I do have fairly wide 18's on the rear, but compared to the tyres that were on it before they are excellent loads of grip off the line on the 1/4 miles, usable in the wet but not great, great through the corners and controllable when they do let go.

Tbh if it goes well maybe we should try to make it a regular meet, once every couple of months.

I thought the same as you at first, but there's something about the look on someone's face when they write it off as a non turbo, then suddenly realise they are looking at your tail lights, ( ex non turbo & twin turbo owner they aren't slow either people just assume they are) I'd personally wait till its running right and you can drive it, won't matter what noise it makes as soon as you put your foot down you'll know it's packing twins...

Bov's - blow off valve or dump valve, Recircs - recirculating valves, ( what's fitted as standard same idea as a bov but rather then venting to the atmosphere they vent back into the intake)

Welcome to the club. I've had zeds since I was 18, so know your pain on insurance, although mine was cheaper then the 1.4 escort I had from 17. I've a pair of early hks bov's on y pipes if your interested, although I bought them for the sound, but imo my zed runs smoother without either bov's or recircs.
