Rear number plate light brackets UK Spec
There is not a lot of difference between the UK and JDM/US brackets apart from a longer middle section and mounting tabs at each end. The sections that mount the lamps themselves are the same. You could therefore start off with a good s/h or new JDM/US bracket and cut and adapt to fit the wider UK spec bumper holes and fixings. That's what I plan to do.

Part# 96250-37P00 Bracket-licence lamp (item 1 below). As far as I know (and I have looked) they are NLA.

Fitting a EBC and a stage 1 remap @ powerzed with Jimmer
It will generate a tone which I doubt I would hear, but more importantly the controller returns the boost level automatically to the stock level and stays like that until the throttle is lifted. That I would notice, but in all the years the HKS has been fitted it has never kicked in. Why would your old controller over boost on cold days?

Fitting a EBC and a stage 1 remap @ powerzed with Jimmer
My HKS controller lives in the glove box fixed to the top surface. Set to 1 bar maximum boost, I treat it as a "fit and forget", so don't need to see it when driving. It also reduces the temptation to play around with settings...

Simply Japanese 28th July - 2019
Thanks for organising the day Howard, it was a lovely day out. We had one of the best locations at Beaulieu to display the cars which was nice! Just a couple of pics of 1547 and one of Howard's on the way home. Looking forward to next years SJ.

New PM
Well I watched BJ's speech made outside No10 yesterday and experienced something I've not felt in the 3 grinding years of TM's disaster as PM - Optimisim! I found myself smiling. [video=youtube;-eks6rPW-to]

New PM
Finally a PM who believes in Great Britain! He should have been made PM in 2016 and spared us the agony and humiliation of the dreadful failure of May's tenure. To paraphrase her Lancaster house speech "No Theresa May is better than a bad Theresa May"

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue
Does it still work? It's a great piece of kit, really well built and sounds superb. Bit old school now for an MP3 player but it runs Linux, and you can change the way the player functions which is fun!

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue
No, I've just got into the habit of not leaving the keys in the ignition when the car is up in the air on axle stands (this time to make it easier to fit the pinstripe). Leaving them on the floor seems the best place.

50 years to the day - 20th July 1969 "Tranquillity base here, the Eagle has landed". This lovely photo has a story of its own: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/techandscience/first-clear-picture-of-neil-armstrongs-face-while-walking-on-moon-uncovered/ar-AAEAa3i?li=BBoPWjQ&item=personalization_enabled%3Afalse

So many photos available from the Apollo 11 mission, but one of my favourites is this one of Buzz Aldrin was taken by Neil Armstrong in 1969, aboard the Apollo 11 Lunar Module just before they landed on the surface of the moon. They were conducting pre-landing checks and the excitement they must have been feeling is clearly visible in Aldrin’s face. What a moment!

Project 1547 - Out of the Blue
Got the car all back together just in time for the AGM weekend. Took my time to fully clean all the interior trim and feed the leather seats and armrests. All rubber door, targa and tailgate seals removed, cleaned and reconditioned. New exterior trims fitted to the windscreen, roof and doors. The 99spec headlights are great addition to the car and I will now be able to see properly when driving at night! There are a few things to sort out but the car is mostly there and I am really pleased with the results. The new paintwork will be machine polished in due course to get a really good base for a ceramic coating which apparently works especially well with darker metallic colours. For now it is being protected with some Autoglym Ultra HD Wax. The light at the AGM weekend wasn't particularly good in the first two pictures, but you get the drift. The last one is back home in the afternoon sun.

My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
How is Mitch measuring concentricity between valve seats and guides in degrees rather than the thou used in the description you linked?

My daughter calls it Toothless the Dragon: My ‘95 TT Z
4° or 0.4°? 4° is a huge error.

Temp gauge stuck!?
See if the border of the needle (arrowed) is catching. There is not much gap between it and the inner ring surface.

Temp gauge stuck!?
The harness connectors on the back of the gauge panel have all been correctly seated?

which fuel
Welcome and thanks for suporting the Club! If your car is a TT then go for your favourite premium (98 ron) fuel. Personally I use Shell V-Power. Post up some details of your new Zed. We would love to see what you have bought.

That's a shame, but come anyway. You will have to make sure the car is ready by the 28th July for Simply Japanese at Beaulieu!
