  1. Will be wonderful to see this car restored to her former glory. Pop the VIN into the search field to find out the build date etc: http://gtr-registry.com/en-300zx-z32-uk-europe.php If you PM the VIN, I will add it to the database of UK specs I am compiling.
  2. Just so we are working of the same page. These are the FSM diagnostics for the Knock sensor. Can you confirm that you have gone through them? EF-EC 132.pdf EF-EC 179.pdf The knock sensor also has a sub harness. Only one signal wire is connected to the sensor (see EF-EC 132) , the second wire is for the earth shield. It is very important that the earth shield is intact as it goes from the sub harness plug up to the sensor (penultimate paragraph): http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1146799/The-important-truth-about-your-knock-sensor.html
  3. You might want to include this kit with your order (if you haven't): https://conceptzperformance.com/czp-upgraded-heavy-duty-clutch-fork-kit-nissan-300zx-z32-30531-cd000-fk-z32_p_9315.php
  4. These are the figures from the FSM. Low oil pressure reading (on the dash gauge) when mid rpm is typically the oil pressure sensor/switch failing (assuming the oil level on the dipstick is correct).
  5. Now, if they only came in Blue...
  6. My apologies, I do have the Installation guide for the Nissan remote door locking system kit (H0560-40P00) specific for the Z32. It is in Japanese though. This is the parts link for the Z32 version (better than the one I posted above). http://jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=132&cartype=1&fig=H05&page=2 and this is the Installation quide: H0560-40P00 Installation quide.pdf
  7. Thanks for the info. I have ConZult happily running on a Win7 Professional 64bit laptop. I was contemplating upgrading to Win10 64bit at some point, but will leave things as they are.
  8. H0561-35F00 (KH0511 in diagram below) is part of the Nissan remote door locking system kit (H0560-64J27) offered in the JDM market an option. http://jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=69&cartype=6&fig=H05 I don't have the Japanese circuit diagram, but the parts diagram shows the key parts and wiring. And yes, scotchloks were supplied in the kit!
  9. ClassicLine Insurance (www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk) for the last two years. Agreed value and no problem with extensive list of modifications. Howard (BigH) used them and recommended them to me.
  10. Did ConZult still fail to run on Windows 10 (64 bit) with set “Enable 32 bit applications“ to "True"?
  11. Looking for the plug (of the type in the picture above) measure the resistance as below:
  12. Have you got a multimeter for reading resistance? In the meantime, check the sensor harness in the wheel well for signs of damage. BR-25.pdf The whole thing looks like this:
  13. It's a 2.2uF capacitor, part of the rear wiper circuit (see red circle below). For the 3rd brake light, you will need to run a +12v supply from the rear o/s brake lamp back up to the tailgate hinge through the rubber concertina for the existing wiring harness and down to the 3rd brake light. You can earth the lamp on the rear wiper motor earth.
  14. Being of a certain age I find myself watching Antiques Roadshow. This is a segment from this Sundays's program - It is incredibly moving and a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made during the war. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p08cltgj
  15. The underbody (engine/radiator) trays at the front of the car do have an important function in getting the engine (and turbos) heat out and away from what is a hot running engine. This page is from the Road and Track guide to the 300ZX and provides more information.
  16. Is the electric aerial working?
  17. I should have included this to help. All Nissan's circuit diagrams follow this standard for wiring colours. Also, follow the diagram for (Europe) and (R) - RHD.
  18. This is a circuit digram for the Power Door Lock system.
  19. Here you go Art. Front washer +ve is LG/B, rear washer +ve is LG.
  20. Congratulations Captain Moore! https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tomswalkforthenhs https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-52488385/captain-tom-moore-celebrates-100th-birthday
  21. For reference these are the bits in a 60K service kit: https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-czp-oem-60k-timing-belt-kit-nissan-300zx-z32-13001-0xx60_p_3850.php and for 120K: https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-czp-oem-120k-complete-timing-belt-kit-nissan-300zx-z32-13001-0xx12_p_3849.php Provided the cambelt pulleys are running smooth then you don't really need to replace them at the 60K service.
  22. I was going to suggest https://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/ which many of us have used. But I see they have a stop on Nissan parts at the moment dute to CV19. If you can't source in the UK see if CZP in the states can ship to the UK (again used by many on here). Normally orders get over here in a few days, but CV19 may affect that. BTW I would always use OEM parts (part #'s shown): https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-timing-belt-nissan-300zx-z32-13028-45p86_p_1029.php https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-water-pump-assembly-nissan-300zx-z32-b1010-22p27_p_965.php
  23. Welcome to the Club and thank you for your support Alan. Best wishes for your Z32 journey!
  24. Your '95 (with the VIN you sent me). I've updated my earlier post to correct it with your info Andy.
