  1. So she's good at blowing then? :thumbup1:
  2. have you done a manual conversion?
  3. I don't know about the rest, but the O2 sensors are supposed to do that, alternate from high to low, or rich to lean...
  4. I use 'snipeit' can set it to whatever seconds you want, and it's free, not sure if it's just for firefox tho...
  5. How does it looks under the bonnet? any oil been sprayed anywhere? anything seem broken/missing?
  6. agreed, that back end is vomit...
  7. signed, but I'm just as pesimistic as the rest of us...
  8. Exactly what I was thinking!
  9. You'll have to make do with this matey, personally I've always founds Hayne's manuals to be bobbins.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi
  10. the solenoid is possibly goosed, or on it's way out, but could just be the bendix (the solenoid engages the worm gear that throws the cog out to engage the flywheel) may just need a good clean up, overhaul and grease, that's what I would do first, but I am a tight ******* :)
  11. haha, same here mate....
  12. yep, and I also cut gits in the end of the upside down bolts so that in future I can remove them (hopefully) without removing the bumper...
  13. he may mean those one man bleed kits, basically a pipe with a one-way valve in it, i borrowed a brand new one from my mate, pressed the pedal and spat out the ball bearing from the one-way valve, basically it was bobbins... you can get suction ones that work from the nipple, pretty exspensive tho, but i reckon those bleed valves are very handy little things, i want...
  14. I still think removing the engine is far easier, plus you can do so many other things with it out, however, i do understand that if you don't have the facilities, i.e. hoist, stand, plenty of room etc. then you can do it with the engine in, I just go for anything that makes life easier!
  15. Happy Birthday matey! Have a good'n :) :)
  16. I've got one on mine, haven't done many miles tho, but I did like the look of it before fitting...
  17. 'We'll bum anyone.com', it's basically rape!.... I popped on their website a while back out of boredom, and the fact that their god awful adverts were in my face every thirty seconds, and they would give me 350 quid for my Zed, erm, yeah, ok, get fooked.
  18. Happy Birthday matey! :) All the best.....
  19. I made a temporary bung out of an aerosol cap with some gaffer tape wrapped around it to make it a little bit bigger, worked a treat, however I did have my gearbox at an angle as only the front of the car was jacked up.... Easy to do tho should you want to...
  20. you'll be better bypassing the dett. sensor from the ECU rather than the engine bay, as usually the fault isn't the sensor, but the wiring inbetween the sensor and ECU... I forget which pins you need to short, but I know the info is on here somewhere mate....
  21. in wigan too, just down the road from me, hmmmm...... :)
  22. Cheers guys..... :)
  23. the lid from a large jar of coffee (nescafe i think) then blag a tire valve from kwik fit or somewhere, drill the right sized hole in the lid, pop your valve in, remove maf, stick it in, tighten the jubilee clip, and pump some air in, listen for leaks, job done :)
  24. :ban: :asshole: :tongue_smilie:
