  4. that's part of a suspension spring that's snapped off mate, is the car sitting wonky at all? might not be off the Ka, but i would definately examine all four corners...
  5. ^^^ +1 I've got rubber ones too, they do wipe away the rain pretty well, and the occasional fresh bird poop.... :)

  9. yeah, it can be adjusted from the pedal, awkward but pretty straight forward, but if it is slipping, adjusting it will only work if the pedal is already slightly depressed, is there any play in the pedal before if engages? You should have a bit of erm floppyness? before it becomes stiff and engages, if there is no play, it is possible that even after your not pressing it, it could be slightly engaged, although i would've thought it would be more obvious in the lower gears...
  10. I think that socket is the diagnostic port for the ABS...
  11. I've got a similar one, but a 2 tonne, i'm in bolton if anyone ever needs to borrow one...
  12. I actually found mine brand new on ebay, was in california iirc, they had 10 of em...
  13. is your loom in good nick? as if i had the funds and was doing a complete re-build, i'd get my self a new one, it's the best thing i ever bought for my zed, no reason why it shouldn't give you 15 years of no electrical gremlins...
  14. i have removed the old loom (by cutting it at the bulkhead) and fitted a new one, it's not hard really mate, and if you already only have a shell, should be easy, the only awkward part is a silly bracket behind the aircon box behind the glove box, that clamps the loom to the bulkhead inside the car before it goes to the ECU, but if you've already gutted the car, should be a piece of cake!
  15. Awww, he's sweet as mate! Not very original, but how about Keeto? :)
  16. If ya snooze, ya lose matey! :1eye:

  20. that jobby in your picture looks like a temperature sender for a gauge to me...
  21. yeah, mine looks a bit pink in the pictures... I think the OEM has the full letters illuminated, like yours, where-as the DIY jobby is just the outline... (i think anyways)
