Urgent! Car has locked me out!
Well I know now, never to leave my spare keys in the car in future!!! She's been in the garage on axel stands for a couple of months, stuck a gallon of petrol in her, drove her out, swept up the garage, went back to drive her in, and yes, you got it, all locked up! Engine running, headlights on main beam, rear heated screen on, heater on full, petrol soon ran out, haha... Sorted now tho, spare keys now in a safe place (as opposed to being in the centre console thingy), no damage done, so happy days really, would of been quite fun if my little cherabs weren't about to drop off from frostbite! Thanks again peeps.... :)

Urgent! Car has locked me out!
Right, just got her off the axle stands, backed her on the drive, left her running whilst I swept out the garage, and for some reason, the alarm has locked me out, with the engine running, and not much fuel. My spare key is also inside the car, can anyone give me any tips how to unlock her from the outside??? email is : bobtudor@hotmail.com or if you can, 07958 334139! Many thanks!!!

Heater matrix Bypass
it's the 2 pipes i've circled in red that you need to join, that keeps the water/coolant in the engine but doesn't get to the leaky matrix....
-
Heater matrix Bypass
OOOOOHHHH NO! not the metal pipes, you want to connect the two coming for the engine, the 2 rubber hoses, NOT the 2 coming from the inside of the car! oops... !

Heater matrix Bypass
that's exactly right matey...

Best christmas song..
driving home for christmas, it's the only one I like, but to be honest, I hate them all, hate christmas, hate the corny non-sensicle perfume adverts, hate christmas TV, the only thing I like about it, is the pub with my Dad christmas day getting ratted before a mammoth scran! (Yeah, I know, bah humbug) :gun_bandana: :santa:

Boiler problem
you'll also find a flat bit on the thin copper pipe of the thermocouple, and a bunch of different brass nuts with a slot in, find the right nut to go to the solenoid (the opposite to the flame end) pop the nut on using the slot and the flat on the pipe, slide it down and should screw into the solenoid... HTH.

Boiler problem
normally they do fit mate, they come with a bunch of different adapters, but they don't always include the one you need, but in the past i have used a bit off the old one, as long as the tip is in the flame of the pilot light and it is secured, then should be fine pal...

Heater matrix Bypass
then put some more coolant in :)

Heater matrix Bypass
at the back of the engine, almost in the middle, coming from the engine into the bulkhead of the car, you will see 2 pipes, you just need to loop the two coming from the engine, i'e' join them together so the water just circulates around the engine and not into the car. it's a bit fiddly cos there's not much room back there... HTH...

The middle is neutral, to the left is vacuum, which is good when ticking over, then should go to the right which is boost when you boot it matey...

Brake problems...

Brake problems...
hmmmm, okies... And, me being a tool, never thought of that, the nipples for the rear are at the bottom, and the front at the top, that doesn't sound right!

Brake problems...
Reet, this is becoming slightly tedious now... I have re-built all 4 calipers, put them back on, but wouldn't bleed properly, just constant air coming through, and bubbles rising to the surface of the resovoir... So, master cylinder goosed.. Got a seal kit, rebuilt it, now it bleeds fine, have got all the air out of all four corners and the ABS unit... But, with a few pumps, the pedal goes hard, but if pressure is kept on the pedal, it will push down to the floor in about 5 seconds. Also, the ABS light is on, could this have anything to do with it? Perhaps a knackered solenoid or something? Any help would be massively appreciated, as it is starting to irritate me! I am happy with the work I have done, but was wondering if one of the calipers could be at fault, maybe clamp the flexible hose on them one at a time and see if the pedal improves? Cheers guys...

Big wheels on a zed
19's on mine, rear is standard suspension, no idea of offset, can't remember, but flush with the arches, front has bilstein shockers and springs, so is lowered a bit, dunno how much, but no rubbing or any problems at all, don't think i would go any bigger than 19's tho...
