  1. I would deffo try and swap the PTU then if possible mate...
  2. aarrrgh..... just doin the two me, *****cks to it! :)
  3. yeah, TT, it'll be fine, just me being over-caustious as per...! But, jeffTT's has 3 pipes, I only see the need to do two (wih the engine in anyways...)
  4. well i'm getting rid of my egr, so can loose some vac piping from the egr and aiv solenoids, i'm gonna need a bigger bin :)
  5. did you get rid of the vaccuum crap too mate?
  6. i've only got little bitch arms, which i'm glad of when it comes to fixing the zed!
  7. it doesn't matter pal, it's just that it looks like mines been leaking a wee bit, so it's goin in the bin!
  8. nah, it's fairly straight forward even with the engine in, just that damn bracket thing, i know what you mean tho, you couldn't do it your way with the engine in, wouldn't be able to chip away at that bracket, i took my dash out, although now i have done it i could probably do it just takin the glovebox out... i also didn't have to de-pin any plugs?
  9. ya can get rid of it, it's just a bit of hard pipe with a bit of rubber pipe on it, but the hard pipe is attached to another hard pipe with a couple of brackets, can just chope em off :) Trust me, i'm a doctor...... (i'm not really)
  10. reet, i know exactly what you mean, gonna do the drivers as i put in the pictures, gets rid of a little bit of pipe that could fail... the write up and the pics that jeffTT put up are different, that's what was doin my head in! cheers mikey, that's exactly what I thought anyways...
  11. Okay, after doing many searches, and reading many FAQ's, I am still slightly confused as to what is the best way to do the plenum water bypass as I have my plenum off at the moment, it seems that many of the pictures in the FAQ's etc. conflict.... If I was to connect this....... To this (drivers side) And this.... To this (passenger side, crap picture)
  12. well you will soon get used to where it is mate :) :)
  13. Yep, did mine with the engine in, as said, makes little difference, you just have to master the bracket behind the glovebox that holds the loom before it reaches the ECU, I could do one in no time at all now I have done it once, but at the time it was a nightmare because I didn't know what I was looking for, read up and ask as many questions as you can, but it is piss easy if you know how, so don't be put off...
  14. here ya go matey.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=42 all very helpful guys....
  15. stupid question, I'm sure your not, but the right and left/top and bottom pipes are all different, you are putting them where they should go? :)
  16. Fix it mate! :hammer:
  17. I mean in situ on the car, if that pipe is higher than the rest of the stuff in the other pictures, could be the source of your leak (hope that makes sense mate! If not, someone will explain better soon...)
  18. The hose needs a clamp, doesn't look like it has had one for a while tho, not sure if it's above the other pics, could be the source of your leak, but only a guess, and yep, rusty pipes indeed mate :(
  19. 8mm = M8 M8 x 1.25 metric pitch.... 8.8 HT (high tension)
  20. just a guess from looking at it, could it be from the auto shifter, as I'm sure when mine was an auto, you couldn't take the key out of the barrel unless it was in park, it could well go from the shifter to the solenoid on the barrell, only an educated guess tho matey...
  21. If it's in decent working order to start with, and is looked after properly, it should be just as good as any other car really, can't see any reason why not? :)
  22. that woman at the beginning should be hung drawn and quartered!
  23. Well mine are the dogs lipstick :) :gun_bandana:
  24. 35W is more than enough if your headlights are nice and clean... (very important if fitting HIDs...)
