  1. Well, I'm doing it at the moment! Drivers side turbo needs to be 'moved' just so I can fit the oil feed adapter type thingy into the block that fell off, 30 second job then I can put the turbo back, aaaarrrrgghhh.... Anyways, 3 of the 4 turbo bolts are really easy, the 4th tho, is a nightmare, i just CANNOT get to fold back the metal tab, I'm tellin ya, 2 days on it now, seems it can't be done! I really don't want to lift the engine just to do a 30 second job, as nowt else needs doing to it, how can I get to this tab, when you can't even see it?
  2. Majorly massive thanks, for letting me disect his engine in his garage at daft O'clock in the morning last night, and lending me a part, true geezer! :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  3. Being a northen monkey, I often say 'Alright cock?' Which often changes itself to 'Alright, anal?'.....
  4. Usually a dry solder joint on the PCB (circuit board) on the back of the speedo, or a duff MPH-KPH converter, but as said, I would take out the clocks, easy enough to do, and go over the solder joints, and also as said, I'm sure there is a how-to floating around matey...
  5. Yeah, you sent me a mankini a bit back :) I've sent it you by email anyways matey...
  6. I can't thank you all enough......... :)
  7. Superb mate, email sent with details, just let me know what I owe you, and thanks again to you and Daz....... Tudor....
  8. I've got the same as that and it works spot on matey...
  9. Massive thanks mate.... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx :)
  10. Mikey, if you could post it tomorrow that would be fantastic, I will gladly see you right for your troubles, and at the risk of sounding needy, could you send it first class, or whatever is guaranteed for the next day? As I said, you will be compensated for your trouble :) I love this place...... Many thanks to all, Tudor.....
  11. I didn't mean 'no matey' to you Daz :) You beat me.... You have an email :)
  12. no matey, it's just to the right of where your right foot would be on the accelerator pedal, above the fuse box, a grey plug, with a bit of rummaging it'll hang down....
  13. Cheers mate, nish PM tho unfortunately, every penny i have is into the Zed :( Can I email you? Right, now I've gotta go and remove, or at least mostly remove the passenger turbo, that'll be a barrel of laughs....!
  14. You would be a complete legend mate if you could remove it and post it tomorrow first class, and I'll see you right for your troubles? And yeah, VERY desperate! Your about 50 miles from me (ish) so posting is the best option....... However, as much as your offer is truly appreciated in a massive way, I will hang on another hour or 2, just incase of the slim chance someone closer may have one I can borrow, and maybe pick up tomorrow, but if no reply, I shall bite your hand off Daz! I didn't grab your number, email me if you can : dirtytudor @ hotmail . co . uk The only person I can think of that is near to me, is paulbrem, but whether he has an engine out of the car I dunno! Cheers matey, I'll be in touch soon, your the man :duffer:
  15. I would say it's just worn out mate, and gone kaput, should be able to get one alot cheaper than 25 quid too...
  16. Here's a picture of it and where it is located....
  17. Mine is the same, can't see out of my rear window even in summer daylight! No point having a rear view mirror... Don't want to take it off tho because of the heated rear screen wires...
  18. If you have enough length (ahem) then cop a little bit off the pipe so it's a nice snug dit, mine used to pop off there too whenever i was working on the engine... The only way to check the level on the manual box, is with it level, undo the filler plug on the side, same way as you fill it up, you just keep going till it overflows out the hole and it's full!
  19. I can see it, and i would say yes, that's where it goes (kind of centre of the pic, a bit orangey)...
  20. the convertor technically doesn't remove the limit, it just raises it (I think) to whatever 112 MPH is in KPH...
  21. Right, having a major travesty, got car on the lifter, removed exhaust, box, eyc. to remove the EGR and fit my new downpipes, ready to fit, but.... The passenger side turbo bottom oil feed coming straight out the block, has a metal 'block' type elbow/adapter, to which the banjo to the turbo fastens too, the 'block' was never screwed in properly, infact i'm suprised it wasn't leaking, I literally just touched it with a spanner and it popped out. The thread on it is a bit goosed, not only that, I have to remove the ******* turbo as there isn't room to turn it and screw it into the block otherwise.... Anyways, long story short, I'm wondering if there is anyone near me who has an engine in there garage etc. that I could borrow this part from until I find one I can buy? As the car ain't going anywhere till I get one, and I need the lifter! Cheers, Tudor...
  22. Next time I've got a blad tire, I might just take the wheel off when I take it, if it ain't there he can't test it :)
