Output shaft seal?
the same way as the old one :) Pretty certain it's the flat surface with the writing on facing you, picture the inner edge of the seal, you want it angleing inwards and away from you, so the oil will push against it and seal it, rather than sqeezing past it, if that makes sense...

Output shaft seal?
make sure you put it in the right way round tho...

Output shaft seal?
I don't remember there being a circlip? But yeah, they're just a tight fit, get the old one out however you can, but don't cratch the outer or inner of the box, find a socket the same size as the new seal, smear some oil on it to help, then gently tap it in with the open end of the socket around the edge of the seal... http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=mt&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=4&design=default&total=37

Output shaft seal?
that's if you mean the output (prop shaft end), the input end isn't much harder, just undo the bolts on the housing around the shaft, remove the housing, pop out the old seal, new one in, but you'll need to replace the paper gasket around the housing too...

Output shaft seal?

Hid kit help!
and you will almost deffinately need to clean your lights out, may not look it, but they'll be full of dust, especially the projector lense as groover said, so you wont get a defined beam otherwise, it's a pain in the arse to remove the lights, but once done, the difference is immense...

Interesting finds you have found
it hasn't been found yet, but I built a studied wall years ago in my mam's house, and in the wall I put a porn mag, a picture of me and my mate (the plasterer), a daily sport from that day, and a pair of my mam's tights, some lucky lucky person is gonna find them some day... ya never know, they may own a zed and comment on this thread in years to come :) In the same house, i did find about 30 or more manchester united football programs in the loft from the early 80's, and a bunch of wigan athletic ones too, still got them, dunno if they're worth anything... And when i was at primary school, there was a jumble sale thing, and I bought a 1972 airfix model, boxed, mint, of a world war 2 willis jeep and gunner trailer, for a pound, still got that too...

Tuscan hunting
It's all about how big your balls are really, years ago I used to have a 1.2 Mk1 punto, which for what it was (which wasn't much) it was nippy, but I knew it like the back of my hand, well looked after and always had good rubber on it, lost countles golf GTi's etc. just because I could go round corners and they didn't have the skills...

gearbox swap on floor
I've done it 4 times on axle stands, you want it about 18 inches high so you can slide the grarbox out, it's a pain in the arse tho, i used 2 jacks, and made a wooden jig to sit under the box, so i could raise or lower the rear jack to get the correct angle, then slide out using the wheels on the jacks...

chris moyles comic relief show
agreed he's an annoying turd-like cretin, but fair play to him and dave for attempting it, whether they'll pull it off or not......
