  1. Check and clean all connectors mate, especially PTU, MAF and injectors...
  2. I'm hoping to MOT mine next week, just a bit of snagging to do, it's only been 5 years, count yourself lucky mate! :)
  3. If I see on, I'll buy one, just to see what (if anything) they have put inside it, you gotta laugh tho....
  4. perhaps the two halves were balanced separately when made originally...
  5. If it is that important to put the prop back on as found, for balancing reasons, what about all us manwell converts, with two different prop halves?
  6. There's a place near me called 'AutoPaint', all they do, is, well, auto paint, suprisingly :) They have always mixed my paint while I wait, cheap, and even without a code, just using that witch craft machine, they have mixed perfect matches, long story short, try and find a specialist, I wouldn't even entertain Halfrauds...
  7. Cheers matey, I shall try and get that done tomorrow, and after 5 years and 4 months, I hopefully 'should' be MOT'ing her next week :)
  8. I've gone for the V6 'Strutus' :), the V8 sounds a bit too much like a back box has fell off...
  9. Can someone tell me how to put the HICAS into diagnostic mode, and the best way to bleed it? I have had my subframe off, and need to bleed it, something I don't really want to do with the wheels/prop/driveshafts spinning next to my fingers! Cheers, Tudor...
  10. piece of cake to change matey, old one out, new one in...
  11. Yep, very very much doubt you will snap them, man up :hammer: :)
  12. Email me car.mad, I'll send you something I just downloaded, will be trying it today... dirtytudor @ hotmail . co . uk
  13. Here ya go, save ya messing about on shatface, a few piccies, wish I had taken more, these are just a few of the million and one jobs I've done to her!... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.34911651889.56585.708486889&type=1 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.58676701889.81148.708486889&type=1 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150164728066890.298632.708486889&type=1
  14. I too have only just read this thread, so so sorry matey, if I knew of anything to say I would, hope you all stay strong through this worst of all things, much love to you all matey...
  15. Add me on facebook matey, user name is Jeggery Tubor, then go in my pics, there's a few albums called 'the beast', plenty of pics I have taken along the way, if you want to have a gander...
  16. Me too, even with the box out, I still had to undo the driver's side turbo to get some stubborn bolts, not an easy job on axel stands, but can be done with plenty of blood, sweat and beers :)
  17. Maybe an EGR delete too, bit fiddly, but again, loys of info on here for that too, and clean every connector you can get to, and don't forget a new plenum gasket...
  18. you really should use NGK platinum plugs, designed for the VG engine, PFR6B-11, 11 being the gap, 1.1mm.... I would do a water pipe bypass whilst the plenum is off too, plenty of info on here on that... As for the sump plug, screw in it by hand to test, if it goes all the way in with just your fingers, it'll be reet...
  19. And I had it on a lifter, and the exhaust bung was still a barsteward...
  20. I did it with the engine in, but gearbox out, and that was a bit of a pain in the arse, ended up cutting the pipes wherever possible and took it out in bits...
  21. I just drew round the orignal flanges on some 2 mm ally, cut them out and drilled 2 holes in them... as for the bung in the manifold, i found a cast iron plumbing bung that does the job perfect for pennies, i wouldn't weld that one up, just incase a bit of weld/slag falls into the turbos, bad times, good luck getting the old one out tho!
