  1. I think he knows what the valve is, but the actual pipes have a restricter thingy and what looks like a mini pipe cleaner thing if i remember correctly, but yes, it is supposed to be there...
  2. No probs mate, glad you got it sorted!
  3. or just screw it in fully by hand, should be able to feel if it is fouling anything...
  4. I've done exactly that before on another car after re-building an alternator, easily done mate, but a pain in the arse!
  5. very nice matey, I've got a yamaha recording custom 25th anniversary special, only 500 made, in orange sunburst, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 22, gibraltar curved rack with the side wings and double pedal, would love another bass drum, but it's impossible to get one, had to wait for 8 months just for the extra 13" tom made! unless someone wants to sell their kit seperately! Haven't got any pics I don't think, but i'll be hitting it with pieces of wood later tonight :)
  6. could it be the diode pack on the alternator is faulty?
  7. Very nice mate, good double pedal work, what kit is that?
  8. I think you mean the cat temp sensors, on the cats? No need to replace or refit them, just chop them off, cover the ends of the wires and shove them up the hole they came from matey...
  9. I'll swap, 4 perfect rubber ones? (6 actually, got two spare...)
  10. Mine is, conzult says 750rpm, and the dash says 900 ish...
  11. He doesn't live in Westhoughton does he? One of my neighbours is always building crazy anglia's and capri's with cossy engines in...
  12. Only a thought, but a worn tension arm/rod can cause those effects, large rubber bushing, it's filled with silicone, you will be able to see if it is cracked and the juices are coming out, just a thought mate...
  13. Well, apart from the synchros, (mine is a little crunchy from 1st to 2nd), the boxes are pretty tough, have you checked/changed the oil at all? Might be a good thing to drain and put in some Redline MT90, not cheap, but it's the best stuff for our boxes...
  14. yep, and it's usually 2nd and 4th that open the split due to the location of the stick when in those gears, good thinking batman...
  15. or even the gearbox mount, or a combination of the two...
  16. Could well be the centre propshaft bearing mate, pretty cheap and easy to fix, does sound more likely, very common.... hope so anyways pal!
  17. well said mate....
  18. I've never done it, but have heard it can be a bit of a pain, you have to make the mounts for the ICs and radiator as they are not there on the NA, however, that is where my knowledge ends mate :)
