  1. you could bypass that safety button i suppose, should you want to, can't see you being able to incorporate it into the knob, although anything is possible...
  2. I think that's just a manual knob with the overdrive switch relocated (the red button next to the knob)
  3. yeah, yours is a series 2, put an ad up in the wanted section, sure someone will have one mate...
  4. it says NOS bottle, doesn't say it's got NOS tho.....
  5. have a check of the plug and wiring on the top of the PS fluid resovouir, mine does it too, but a bit of a tap and waggle of the plug makes it go out, just another thing i keep meaning to get round to fixing :)
  6. haha, wounded! That's why I don't trust dynos!
  7. just curious, but what if you were to turbo an NA (or NA block/heads)? Would the performance to better with the higher compression?
  8. good stuff, but what's that got to do with his Missus?
  9. Second dibs! I'm chopping mine out as we speak, and my dads in Lincoln tomorrow :)

  11. You can buy the conzult adapter from ebay for about 20 - 25 quid, and can get basic versions of the software from the internet for free, there's many threads knocking about on here about using it.... I have one of these, works a treat, but I got mine from china, was about 18 quid delivered, but here's the same thing in england http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-Conzult-Interface-tool-14pin-Diagnostic-Scanner-/300567429772?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item45fb37028c
  12. you can always just put normal bulbs back in for the MOT, 10 minute job, although i haven't heard of anyone on here failing their MOT due to HIDs, but, some advice, cleaning the inside of you headlight glass/lens/projector is a must really if you can do it, bit of a PITA, but massive difference in beam projection and quality...
  13. Haha  must be the rarity....
  14. I think, but by only a midgets d1ck, the auto is 'slightly' faster to 100, but as said, the real difference is in the twisties, as you can select what gear you want when you want it... I'm sure Yowser will pop up with evrything you need to know soon, the mans a wealth of knowledge and numbers! :)
  15. my exhaust blank was a travesty to get out, ended up completely ruined, so re-using it with a coin etc. was out of the question, and i didn't fancy that idea... any plumbing shop, cast iron type threaded bung/end stop, couple of quid, bang on it was... Just don't go mad when tightening it up, last thing you want to do is strip the thread, then it's get yer welder out time... I also made the blanks for the plenum out of some scrap 5mm aluminium i had lying about, easy enough, draw round the flange from one of the removed pipes, just copy it but without the hole in the middle, then drill the 2 bolt holes, I've got a grind stone, but still easy with a file if you cut it something like the right shape, just a case of rounding the edges off really... HTH matey...
  16. might be worth doing, just to find out mate? Other people have asked this question before me....
  17. I think I have just ruptured something laughing at that, nearly killed me, pi55ed myself, 'P.s. I have the same Makita drill as you! Great aren't they?' hahahahahaha
  18. the non-brake light version, when i bought mine, had the red diffuser and moulding cut outs for the bulb holders, only thing stopping me using it with a brake light was the risk of damaging it 'attempting' to remove the black sticker? over the outside of the lens. Would be interesting if anyone has a cream crackered one, to see if that black sticker (or whatever it is) can be removed?
  19. When I click on the video, I just get a video of a stupid yank who's managed to park his SUV on a ferrari?
  20. I think it contains a solvent, and it doesn't agree with old pipe work, maybe not a solvent, but something, i think :)
  21. I've never done it to a Zed, but with loads of other cars, open the door, get your hands under it and pull it up *disclaimer, might not work, might balls something up, and I also put my back out doing it once :) *
  22. put it on 4 axle stands so the tyres don't get flat spots, and the other stuff said above, maybe somehow wrap up you brakes/discs to prevent rusting?
