  1. there is another (probably just as unreliable and pointless test) do a hefty wheel spin and see if you leave a 'number 11'.... Just fitted my subframe back on today after a full on refurb, and mine do spin the same way... (TT)

  7. I've just done mine, sanded them down and repaired all duff bits, then high build primer, then bog standard satin black rattle can (said suitable for bumpers, so it's flexible) they look the dogs *****cks, well chuffed...

  15. Barry the Bodger! :hammer: :) It's called a steering rack boot/gaitor mate... You can get stretchy universal ones from any half decent car shop, you may have to chop a bit off, but maybe not, take your old one with you for the size, then you'll have to pop off the track rod end and slide it over... (that's if the super glue doesn't stick) !

  18. off the top of my head : gearbox + bolts (duh), clutch friction/pressure plate (plus bolts), clutch fork and retainer spring, slave cylinder plus rubber boot/pipe work, thrust bearing, flywheel, flywheel bolts, spiggot bushing, metal plate that goes between gearbox/engine, clutch pedal assembly, booster (if using), brake pedal, propshaft, gear linkage (gear stick, metal plate thing for it, upper and lower dusts boots, gaitor) erm, thinks that's about it?

  21. I ripped the leather off mine unscrewing it, had no choice, but I've put it back on leather-less, and it still looks and feels fine :-) (would be better with the leather on it tho)
