  1. don't be giving anyone with a nut allergy a lift afterwards tho :)
  2. it goes to the balance bar mate...
  3. and the clip on your brake booster pipe needs sliding down further :)
  4. if you have small hands, you should be able to find a little hose hiding behind that bottom pipe, it's probably come off by accident, mine used to do it, so I chopped 3/4 of an inch off it so it's a better fit, it possibly goes to the EGR? Might be wrong, and all that was probably not much help :)
  5. I will be doing as soon as i can get it on the lifter, it isn't being driven at the mo, infact, it has hardly been driven for a long time as i have been working on it, diff showed no signs of leaking at all, but that could just mean there's no oil in it!
  6. 'weighs a ton! Total weight is approx. 22.8 grams' :)
  7. Sounds exactly like mine mate! I'll let you know when I get to the bottom of it, been meaning to get her on the lifter all week, just too frickin' busy...
  8. Thanks for the reply mate... The centre bearing appears fine, no play, I checked it when I had the prop off, I will check again, that could explain the noise whilst driving, but not the diff play, is it normal for the diff to have a bit of play in it from the input side of it?...
  9. I'd say that too....
  10. what are those nipples on the headlight glass?
  11. after one of those 'maxi' days them women have...
  12. Sometimes, one side is easier than the other, with me, the passenger side was easy, the hub nut was very tight, but once undone, the drive shaft just popped out. The drivers side however, nope, the hub nut was stupendously tight, it took me 3 days of soaking in oil and a 5 foot breaker bar to get off, but, that was the easy bit, getting the hub off seemed impossible, until I borrowed the most insane puller I have ever seen from a garage nearby, the thing weighed a ton, was about 2 and a half feet long, looked like one of those sentinals from the matrix, and I even thought I was going to strip the thread on that bad boy I had to tighten it so tight! Anyways, best of luck, could be alot easier for you, use plenty of penetrating fluid, patience and shear brute force, make sure you have your wheatabix :)
  13. And, also, from around 30 MPH, (haven't been faster than 40 really, as I am only test driving on a private road), I get a noise in the cabin, very similar to having one window open slightly on the motorway, you know the kind of low frequency 'b b b b b b b b b' noise? I have two different halves of propshaft as I did a manual conversion, could the prop need balancing?...
  14. Yes, and yes, it isn't the prop, it is attached to the diff lovely and solid, no play in the prop, it's the diff, as the gearbox turns the prop and diff, the diff turns about a Cm (play) before the wheels want to move, and after that Cm, it engages the wheels, that's when I get the knock/slight bang, I can easily watch what is happening just by sticking my head under the car whilst someone else lets the clutch out...
  15. It's a 92' JDM TT by the way, HICAS still in place, I haven't bled the HICAS yet either, waiting to use a lifter...
  16. I have had my rear subframe off to paint and renew, now it all is refitted, I have a kind of bang type noise. It happens when letting the clutch out the first time going forwards or reversing, there appears to be play in the diff, when I let the clutch out, the prop and diff seem to rotate about a Cm before becoming solid, or engaged, and when it becomes solid, it makes a bit of a knock, or slight bang, is it normal for the input of the diff to have play in it? I noticed it when I had the diff off, presumed it was normal. If I put her in reverse with the handbrake on and let the clutch bite repeatedly, it is knock, knock, knock etc. each time I let the clutch bite... Any ideas? (I haven't changed the diff fluid, but I will be doing very soon) Cheers, Tudor...
  17. should put this as a sticky, gets asked quite often....
  18. add me matey, 'Tudor the Dirty', i've got it, but my xbox live runs out in 3 days :(
  19. I feel his pain, I've had my cream paper wheelie bin nicked twice now, little turds nick it and set it on fire in a field nearby, 20 quid for a new one, barstewards, thinking of putting a propane cannister in the bottom of my new one, hidden by newspapers, just as they get their marshmellows out, bang, hehehehe.... :gunsmilie:
  20. Haha, good idea, but it'll be low voltage :(
  21. Be gentle unplugging the injectors tho, unless you have a new loom, they could be quite brittle, and take care not to lose the metal clips (easier said than done) :)
