  1. The speedo was a lot out, i put the sat nav on which showed the speed, and I put speedo in with no glass and tweaked the hand a couple of times to it was right, when u 1st pull off its delayed till about 5mph before its starts moving but better to have it right at faster speeds, Rpm is up a tiny bit on motorways but I wouldn't worry about it, zeds are pretty crap on fuel all the time, Saying that I borrowed my uncles tdv8 range rover sport to go Bournemouth air show last summer what a piece of crap that was used over 100quid in fuel was like driving a boat...zed is cheaper and much more better drive...
  2. I've swapped mine and it felt very tight wouldn't go back to hicas... Even when you boot it round a tight corner it spins round but easy to control... And it pulls better in all gears makes the feel a lot lighter it just gets up and goes,
  3. Why not get a blue print filter or pattern just to you get a nissan filter... I bought a k and n filter, To be honest most zeds I've seen have pattern filters, not really hurt them, id prefer a nissan filter to the pattern but if i didn't want to wait id use a pattern...
  4. Si there 2x10mm bolts either side lol...Need that address too...
  5. Yeah mate I'll sort it out for u, I get home normally around 7...I hope lol...
  6. Honda and alfa use them shafts I've seen them removed on preludes.
  7. Them transits still Got to be careful still had a transit in the other week and parts of the cams had broken, Dagenham dustbins lol... Nice work on the other engine...
  8. What do you re set the load too, I've stripped down hundreds of normal shocks and springs but no coilovers... Are they just tightened up to the springs not loose thats where im lost, I could measure the locking collar to the bottom of the shock. But I didnt want to mess with them to much lol...
  9. No worries mate...
  10. Thanks its starting to come together after all the stress lol...
  11. U got wheels mate or u want it droping off, how are u ant... 12. And the coilovers
  13. Hi everyone, you think I wrecked my meister r coilovers, I have a kind of blue theme going on with the car, so I was gonna get the top mounts powder coated blue like the rest of the stuff in the bay, But I couldn't get spring clamp on the spring and didn't want to mess with the spring rate settings so I just sprayed them at work silver with a black bit, atleast its just aerosol paint so I can just wipe the paint of with thinners and there be red again, Now just to fit the bloody things again lol This is the engine bay with overspray on the coilover top mounts and didn't like the red
  14. Im no expert but if its 2k high build my bro in law went to 320 on a da before high build then I think he blocked primer with 400 to 800 and then paint but 2k paint im sure he said solid would cover about a 400 and metallic around a 500 so god knows why he went to 800 Maybe a 1200 is to smooth before primer but sure someone who knows better will come along soon... Car is looking good by the way...
  15. It depends on the garage we mainly do mots and he has more then 1 fitter, so he would make 200 quid on top of the bills the mots alone here pay every bill, But the main thing I'd be worried about is the company doing it right, I didn't mean it to offend anyone it just depends where you get the job done, Some people don't have huge out goings I worked mobile for a while and could earn lots of money for very low prices, I took my mot test an have been doing mot test and not working on cars, My boss charges 40quid a test and I mot 10 cars a day average thats 400 a day for just me and does not barely pay me a 100, so I know how much garages earn, my boss has lots of propertys he didn't get them from no where... And then he has all the mechanical work the fitters earn too... And he pays me cash self employed so he pays nothing no pay roll here...
  16. To be fair that doesn't seem that far off, an oem clutch was between 250 and 300 last time I bought one, my turbos were rebuilt with stage 2 360degree bearings and cost 360 each, And labour wise you could bring it to the garage I work in for 400 cause my boss would pay the fitter 100 a day to fit the parts would take at worse 2 days, and my boss would have 200 in his pocket, A clutch in and out laying on my back takes me around 3hrs, and ive changed a few sets of turbos with engine in with no problems, and with the box off there would be even more room...
  17. They are pretty good on long journeys, mines not loud, But I used to have a prelude vtec, I put a straight through on it, me and my brother drove it to spain it was hell had to have a bass box to over power the exhaust so it was either music banging or exhaust deafening 18hrs of hell lol...but id do it again tomorrow was really fun... It was that loud I floored it in 1st down the high st once and this little boy fell to the floor holding his ears, poor little ****er lol...

  21. You sure its not your light mate, If it was me and it was running fine I'd put the cas in the center and drive it easy...

  23. Mine was tricky with hicas the back was all over the place and could cause it to be an handful but I had a bit of play in the bushes, and I had a z with a shock gone that was lethal back would hop about and go where it wanted... I put na rear end new oem shocks and it was so much more stable, Im putting it back together now and have meister r coilovers cant wait to see how it drives on them...
  24. If its stalls have u checked for boost leaks, the tps I found I had to set it to 0.45 then open the throttle and let it snap shut hard and make sure it still goes to 0.45 cause when I first did it id set it then snap it shut and it would change. If it runs ok u sure its not your timing light, if belt was out im sure you would need to fully turn it left to get it to run ok...
