Was looking at pics of 300zx on google and found a pic of this convertible zed, I think its stunning, sorry if its been seen a million times, The convertible zeds look a bit weird dazverts one looks great and this one but some dont...

Must be triple plated or something like that, I think u can get different grades, I had my bro in law powder coat a strut brace for me and I didn't know u could do this but he 2k base coat the colour I wanted and then powder coat lacquered it, So u can have literally colour coded or any colour, and most places charge about 100quid I bet that chrome plenum will be about 300 quid.

I know he was complaining about the up keep and his not scared of a bit of cleaning lol... But his powder coated it candy red and I think it stands out more then the chrome, and easy to maintain.

It can still surface rust like tools/sockets and leave a million finger prints lol...ever had a chrome kettle/toaster I did once the misses chucked them out pretty quick they seemed to show everything, It will looking stunning but you will have to polish it still and never bloody touch it, mirrors are the same can never get rid of every bloody smear....

Jason farrows plenum was shiney like that, his powder coated it now, His words were its to much hard work and he never drives it everyday or in the rain and polishes it so much I can't believe anything on the car has paint left lol...

All your bits look great, Couldn't they just blast them I gave mine to my bro in law to do and the powder coat covered the cast marks, with no sanding. powder coat chrome is really good, my water pipes are done in it and its easy to clean literally just wipe it clean or polish it... Polished plenums I reckon u would be forever polishing it, And I hate real chrome because it looks stunning but u can see every bloody finger print and would probably drive u insane, The powder coat I have if u look really close its a tiny bit milky but move back a foot and it looks chrome but can't notice any finger prints.

Anthony can we meet up tomorrow night, are there any oil leaks on it, Are the oil cooler lines both ok.... Is it a ticking noise or heavy knock...

Has anthony will tell everyone I needed some spares and I was low on money so we bought a £500 zed for bits, he lent me 250 to buy it... Instead of giving him 250 back i removed the engine from anthonys zed then i stripped it down, the block was taken by Anthony to bailey and liddle, Block came back ready built I stripped heads down, re seated all the valves replaced stem seals, and took every lifter apart cleaned and put them back together, then i built the engine up with new turbos new gasket, belts etc, Then fitted it all in the car, I put a new oil cooler kit from z1 in the car, Just making clear so people don't think I was charging to build engine, When others pay on here to advertise for work, I sort of needed 250quid he done me the favour and lent me it, and instead of paying it back I did some work on his car, I'm a fitter by trade and have worked on cars for over 10yrs and have built lots of engines, but I dont get involved with bottom ends I don't have the tools to measure and its not the kind of thing where I have worked that the average mechanic gets involved in all the garages I've worked in let engineering shop clean, measure and put together bottom ends, then we just build it up from there, I cant see why its gone wrong but anthony u wont be selling that car, we will look at it and if it is the bottom end I'll help u take the lump out and were take it back to bailey and liddle and get it sorted, And i'll help u fix it for free... So ring me lol...

I got it has a built bottom end from bailey and liddle it had the sump on it and was completely built, I rebuilt the heads fitted turbos and re fitted engine to the car, Anthony is it knocking, whats it actually doing...bell me and ill meet up with you and were look at it...

And I have never seen si car in real but its my favourite I've seen on the forum, Stock ish looking with nice upgrades and I bet its has good has it looks body and mechanically, If I was parting with a lot of money something like si car is one id be looking for, not bits stuck to it and different colours etc...

Lol, but has said u will never get it back just got to keep it and enjoy it ive had a zed since atleast 2008 and it started there changing everything lol, must have replaced the whole bloody car twice...

I've spent well over 20k on mine, I've re shelled it twice 4 resprays countless engines and turbos lol... new 99spec bumper, 99spec skirts, new 99spec lights, Etc etc etc lol...but my cars probably worth about a fiver though...

Full gasket set, I wouldnt bother with oil pump, con rod bearings,

My car is a 90 but I bought a 94 car but ended up going looking at a few shells with no rust and got the one i have now from sussex stu, no rust inside or out and no welding all original so used that shell but the engine and power steering and alternator etc came from the 94 car....

Looks like they are different then, looks like his got his water pump pulley round the wrong way, Hopefully he knows...

Hopefully he will let us know, unless he didn't get the belts and thinks it doesn't fit cause the belts to big...
