Surely if the egr would have pulled bits in it would have thrown it through the inlet manifold, There's a link from the exhaust manifold to the inlet manifold, to re burn exhaust gases so it should be pulling them into the inlet, Unless it was on boost and the egr was faulty, cause surely if the egr was open then the boost would be going straight out the exhaust, I've never seen a cat damage valves but im sure anything can happen, Hope u solve the problem...

Jason farrow and his cousin are both the same has that vacum hose not connected, boost upgrade and both done at se nissan I think so maybe thata just the way they did it...

And if u get one on gas if it does 10mpg it will be more like 18mpg, I know what your saying about the zed and were see lol... But I was looking at x5, range and cayenne vs each other and it reckons the cayenne handles much better they said it handles better then most sports cars in the reviews but it depends what x5 you have...maybe you have a newer x5...

Lol the new diesel engines are horrible mate, we work on them everyday... They run and go well just overly complicated, And i dont think the fuel is much better on a range rover sport diesel there horrendous too... But I like things that are different thats what I like about cayenne its as quick has a zed 450bhp 0 to 60 in 5.5sec and 165mph, And they handle really well where the range rover is a wobbly boat lol made me feel sea sick... I don't know yet when I get it back I'll see, the only thing I hate about the zed is not using it and enjoying it with the misses and kids...

I hate diesel I work with them every day there nasty crap dirty stinky things that should only be in tractors lol... There allways going wrong and when they do there horrible, injectors are stupid money and now they seem to allways fail, diesel pumps yuk yuk yuk lol... if I buy anything it will be a cayenne v8 turbo, and a lot of them have gas. to be honest I'm not worried about fuel we have a focus for school runs and shopping and would use the cayenne for best, I have 3 kids so they dont all fit in the zed so the zed has to stay at home :sad:

Cheers guys, I'll wait to it comes out the paintshop put all the interior back in and see how it is...it sounds awesome and the exhaust aint that loud but there loud enough for the cabin to not be quiet, see last summer I ended up using my uncles range rover sport and it was pretty quiet and comfortable but I couldn't stand the horrible wallowing thing on the motorway, then that porsche and its a different type of car, The zed I just feel like being a menace in it lol... I love the zed, and mostly its the way it looks, and thats why I hate any chips or things that dont fit right like the bumpers and panels cause they spoil the looks, I will think seriously about it cause ive had a zed for nearly 10yrs and without one will be strange. hopefully when I pick it up I'll fall in love again and keep it, but how I feel now after driving the porsche I really want one and can see me selling it... Hopefully I'll have some pics at the weekend, and i'll know more what to do.. Thanks again everyone for the comments...

Thats quite a lot, I thought they sold for about 3500 to 4000, obviously im waiting to see what the paint comes back like, I mean no one else saw what I was looking at but there was a few waves but nothing really bad, just bugged me, but now it should be right... Ì need to put the rear plastic in the boot cause it was being sprayed I needed easy access to rear lights etc, But maybe that was why it was noisey, Was road noise and exhaust, and I was hoping quiet and smooth and its really put me off, Had a porsche cayenne at work and it was perfect and I know me the misses and kids would use it and enjoy it, I mean the porsche is ugly but its more what we need, the zed only I enjoy and its a bit selfish.

I've done about 200miles lol, I'll be honest I didn't really enjoy it like I used to the bloody coilovers shook my teeth out, the bloody exhaust is not stupid loud but loud, It was stupid slippery cause I have stock wheel on at the moment even in 3rd was slippery on the motorway rained going to the paintshop, I mean it drove great but I fancy something really smooth and quiet, that I can use with the misses and kids and the way I am with my zed its gonna be a never ending money pit, its gets a bloody stonechip I wanna respray the whole bloody thing its getting really ocd lol... And to be honest I can see where the misses is going not being happy With it I've spent ridiculous amount of money and time on it, Easy over 20k... I must be getting old lol...

Hi guys, How much do u think, Its a 91 twin turbo manual in suzuka grey pearl, Its in the paint shop now being fully repainted again, Brand new 99spec bumper and new corner lights New perspex strip Brand new 99spec lights and centre panel, Version r skirts, Originals made of plastic not fibreglass, I think it a 94 spoiler, Miester r coilovers, new both pieces of the scuttle panel, New tbar ends which are normally broken, has a new uprated radiator, Hid lights, Was stripped to a bare shell with photos, undersealed everything cleaned and painted and refitted, Has brand new bbs style wheels with black centres and chrome dishes, Has later spec dash, door pads etc in the swade stuff, And blue and black leather which has no holes but drivers bolster has a tiny mark like the black has worn, Has new front screen with new damn seal, and new trim holder things. new trims around the rear screen because it was removed for respray, Steering rack bushes are energy suspension, Engine bay was stripped to metal re seam sealed and resprayed, I have had a torch in the quarters, and in the seals and it has no rust at all and has had no welding at all, I used dinitrol cavity wax to keep it that way, Powder coated plenum, rocker covers, engine mounts, balance bar, strut brace, Has an na rear end, no hicas, Xtd clutch and flywheel, And lightweight pully set, Greedy exhaust system, I've spent 2yrs messing with it to get it how I want it and now I have 3 kids with a misses nagging me to be sensible I've been looking at a porsche cayenne cause me and her can drive it and all the kids could fit in the back... Obviously the pics are just random pics the paint shop are respraying the bumpers and there was a couple of wobbles in the rear quarters I was not happy with so there guide coating the car blocking it and respraying it again, it looked very nice allready but if you really got close and looked at an angle down the sides there was some wobbles which they reckon will be a lot better, I also had a bit of smoke which I thought was turbos but im guessing it wasn't cause driving to the paint shop there was no smoke at all, It will have a full years mot and tax, So what do u reckon its worth guys I know it wont be a lot, and I can post some fresh pics hopefully at the weekend if the paint shop have finished,

Hi mate if it helps u can book the mot in with me, im a lot more south then bodymech so once your there you don't need to come to me... I can send u all the details address, phone number etc, to be honest once your on the motorway all should be ok... I personally think the worse problem with welding is you burn the paint off in the inside and u can cavity wax it etc, but unless you can see it u aint gonna cover every last bit and its likely to start to rust again from there, But im sure it will last years, has long as there's no pin holes in the welds with filler over the top it cause then it will probably bubble up, But I would get it welded by someone like bodymech and not mot standards, Cause they will just weld bloody patches etc in which to do it right will all need cutting out, So just drive the ****er to bodymech and be done with it lol...

Andrew has bigger brakes and has more experience then I do, I reckon there be ok but check with andrew about offsets, Can u not just buy skyline disc to be sure,

If there 324mm disk I reckon they will fit, just measure the width of the skyline disc are they the same. If they are they should fit,

Lol...so can I but I doubt anyone else would eat it... The problem with testing is vosa, u really do have them breathing down your neck, They give u a manual to follow but leave the decision the tester, so if things go wrong they can blame the tester. They say to test to the minimum and be has light as possible, then when they come round to do a check and just walk in there has hard as possible and make sure they find something to moan about... I tested a corsa about 3months ago checked the headlamp aim it was good enough, I then done the rest of test jacking the car up etc, I then got a check has I pushed print they walked in, So they check over it, headlamp aim is out by about a human hair lol, I say yeah but its been jacked up so may have not settled properly, I got away with that one, Then the 2 front springs had the ends cut for lowering they were seated and doing there job and I knew the customer so I let it go 30 points for each front spring; but about a year ago this would of been ok but vosa changed the rules... I had gone on the rollers got a lock on the wheels, I tested them both fronts both rears everything seemed fine, He tests them individually each wheel the n/s rear showed up low but when we then tested them again together and showed him how I did it they jumped about and locked out, So I asked do I have to test them individually he replied no but its good practice, And said 20points, but he said from what u said in the interview this will be thrown out, I got my papers through and no they didn't throw them out so I now have 80 points for 5years if you get 100points I loose my licence, So I now have 5years with 20points 1thing found on a check I will likely be banned, So its now an horrible job looking over my shoulder and to make it worse if you fail something being strict and mr vosa decides it doesn't warrant a fail you can still get the same points for being to nice, It seems everything they do is based on an average the average tester does about 3and a half tests a day with I think about 30% fail rate, I test an average of 11 tests a day with a 3% fail rate, so we show up red, But most garages have more then 1 tester im the only tester some days I do around 20tests. So im thinking of going back on the tools with no stress, Or going back to doing engineering working on big nuts and bolts lol, Its like have 9points on your licence and driving your zed around waiting for a speed camera to jump out on you lol... And the reason I have a low fail rate is we do a lot of cars for garages near us and car traders that have been pre checked so they nearly all pass, But vosa don't see it that way and walk in or send shoppers to catch u out... And no doubt if I tested an lsd on the rollers then they kick off with that, so I'd rather just test it right then 1, I know I wont break it, 2, the lsd could possibly cause incorrect readings like its dragging, and vosa ain't gonna kick mu butt lol...

No I dont because it can break them, The wheels out of good practice should be tested independent and its easy just to use the meter, If it can break the diff why chance it I don't understand just do it right and I know it wont break, So your saying if one wheel is spinning on the rollers and the other is stopped its a good idea on an lsd... I think any tester willing to test other peoples cars to find out is not worth his weight in gold, By all means test yours but ill test mine with the deacclerometer. Are you a tester jeff,

The difference in front to rear does not matter, 50% front 16% rears is minimum, If there all working right they should pass even with the biggest brakes in the world on the front has long as the rears have a minimum of 16%. Sorry if I read wrong but sounded like your saying it failed cause fronts are a lot more powerful then the rears... Just go back and put a complaint in and ask for a retest or your going to ring vosa and say its an lsd diff and was tested on the rollers... they may think and pass it quick lol... Tell them it should be tested with a deceleration meter with 50% front and 16% rears being the minimum.

All 300zx are lsd even na cars, if u jack the rear wheels up on a car with an lsd when u spin 1 wheel the other will spin the same way not the opposite way...

And this bit says it all for the tester: If it will break it or not it should not be tested. so your tester jeff was doing it wrong and put your cars at risk of damaging the diff,

What was the brake weights, Did he test both wheels together, did one lock why the other one was still low atl lanes can give incorrect readings. The wheels should each be tested independent, but does not have to be so if 1 wheel is wet slips on the rollers and locks, The other could be reading low... And if each wheel is tested independent then 1 wheel will be spinning on the rear why the other is locked which is where damage can be done to the diff...

Its said not to test it on the rollers with an lsd it can brake the diff, You shouldn't lock 1 wheel while the other is spinning, I wouldnt test it on the rollers at all if it breaks I'll be the one paying for it, Has a tester if its lsd and every tester I know will not test it on the rollers, And if he tested it on a deceleration meter it would have passed if it didnt there must be something serious wrong...

Its a lot to do with vosa themselves some testers pass and advise to cover there arse, If they get a check on a car and they miss it completely u get a lot of points but if its passed and advised, then u have picked up on it and mentioned it so u get less points, If are to strict u can get points too... Its quite a dodgy job constantly looking over you shoulder.
