  1. It looks white in most lights its hard to photo but i quite like it in real life, Did u like it when u saw suzuka its a bit marmite some do some dont...
  2. Talking of grey i must have the weirdest grey lol...audi suzuka grey pearl... its quite strange its white/silver/grey depending on light, They do another called nardo grey looks quite strange too...i quite like it cause its different
  3. The manual conversion is a lot more involved then just pulling the box, The pedals, gear stick, pilot bearing, flywheel, wiring etc takes longer then pulling the box, Its about 3-4hrs work on and off that's laying on your back, its easy lol... Get the box off replace the seal and get that box back on...and then sit and think what the worrying about was lol...
  4. I aint a painter or bodywork but I've helped paint my zed to many times, The pearl you put your base coat on like normal then you put the pearl in a binder of some sort and put the amount of coats on, the more coats the more effect, Then you clear coat, But I think you have to be good at putting paint on and not going back over where you have been you need the coats even.. im sure if u paint you'll get it on fine... just remember look after your lungs and atleast get one of them 2k masks, its ment to be air fed and its horrible... and good luck...I hate bodywork its the worse lol...
  5. If its frozen white its not pearl but ford do a pearl which looks like a baby blue in the shade and a white with blue pearl in the sun... The frozen white comes in base and clear or a solid white no clear needed the base and clear seems to keeep its shine better I find the solid dulls off and needs polishing all the time... im sure a lot of vans are painted in solid cause they dull of but the cars in the same colour keep there shine... U will want 2k but u need a good mask its quite nasty...
  6. God knows why i thought u had deleted hicas just ignore my comment lol...
  7. Did u unplug both plugs on the hicas ecu if u unplug one it takes away the hicas light but if u unplug the other it makes steering heavy...
  8. Get a long screwdriver put the end that would touch the screw on the injector and the other end put your ear on it, listen if its clicking do the same on all the injectors, get an idea what they sound like... Could be an injector or the connector is dirty... have u got a volt meter put it on resistance (ohms) then test the injector without the wiring connected should be somewhere around 14.0 ohms, Check another injector to be sure... the garage should have a noid light to put in the connector that way they could check if the fault is the connector or before it... hopefully u get it sorted, I can't advertise on here but if u get stuck my number is 07476926015 if u cover my fuel i will take a look for you for free ...
  9. Yeah that will be mr farrows car, I think craig with the red car is jasons cousin.
  10. If its on the isle of sheppey could be Craigs, relation of jason farrows, Its actually a really clean zed, i did some work to it the other month, - - - Updated - - - Or it could be the owner of lazells night club it has one too...
  11. That's pretty crazy one bit look like they wrote there signature where the hell were they going lol... Around 50secs, just realised its the raf training site so that's why there probably going upside down etc...
  12. Hi guys just found this pic on google, Is it a fake, i really think that front bumper could look good without all the crazy bits the shape really fits the front of a zed looks original and aggressive, Does anybody else like it... I dont like the bits on the zed just the shape of the bumper...
  13. I've only drove mine with the meister r a few times and i need to try a few adjustments cause i think mine are in the middle somewhere front and rear and it is really horrible it use to be really nice i had new stock shocks front and rear and it handled great and was actually quite smooth and refined, But now its crashy and to stiff, We have a new bridge where i live and when i go over it there's a dip at the start and at the end of the bridge and the car trys to throw me out the roof lol... Same if i go over big speed ramps its mainly the rear it throws me out the bloody seat... But when it is flat it handles great and being lower it looks great, But i look a mile ahead incase there's bumps lol for fear of being thrown out the bloody targas... So im going to be nosey on your thread see if this is normal or if mine are set up wrong, I'd like to know how they set the spring rate, or if it would be better to wind them up so the spring doesn't rattle about, Mine are set has they come, so don't want to ruin them by messing with them...

  15. No worries just give me a bell if u get stuck...
  16. Hi mate, If u get stuck i live on the isle of sheppey if u cover my fuel i will help u look at it... I work on cars and not to bad with zeds... My number is 07476926015,
  17. Check under the black box circled and follow the vacum line the other end of it will go on that nipple the idle will be high because its sucking in air,
  18. That vacum pipe is for the stock boost gauge, Where the brake master cylinder and small fuse box is hiding in the corner is a little black box with a vacuum pipe the other end of that goes on your balance bar... Ithe vacum pipe normally drops down so may be hard to spot so will probably be easier to find the end on the black box and follow it...
  19. The one way valve will still make it leak cause that's the way its pulling it through if u turn the valve the other way you'll have no leak and no servo lol... It sounds like something is wrong in the box...hope u get it sorted...
  20. Your colour you might have a choice of single stage which has the clear allready in the paint and the hardner mixes in this to activate it or a base and clear where you paint a basecoat with no hardner and then the clear coat with hardner goes over that to protect it, Mine was painted several times in merc artic white single stage so it does not need clear coat, Lots of colours like plain non metallic blacks come in single stage, The only thing i found with the single stage white was its the the same White they used on merc sprinter vans and they go dull and loose there shine after a while but you can polish it back... The merc cars in artic white dont go dull and i think its because you get the choice to do it in single or base and clear and i think the cars are base and clear... I really liked that single stage on my car because he put a few heavy coats on and we could flat the pants out of it and polish it up and it use to look the nuts, where we painted it in a workshop not an oven we got some s@#t in it so it suited us better, This time I've had mine painted in suzuka grey pearl its a type of pearl white and it was done in base and clear and it seems to keep that new car white look where it just looks whiter and shiner but the painter made it look s@#t... Also if your painting it yourself, the hardner which u mix in is nasty stuff, has isocyanate in it which is not very good for you... Your ment to have an air fed mask but should be ok with a mask which is suited to isocyanate i bought a gerson one from ebay for about £20, also use a white paper suit and plastic gloves. But the mask i think 3m use to say there ok but now they say there not safe for isocyanate so how safe the mask actually are i don't know, And probably depending how u fit them to your face and make a seal helps too...
  21. I think there trying to stop solvent basecoat, and using waterbase but they still use a 2k clear, But you can still buy it from suppliers...
  22. Hi guys i have a few bits for sale... 99spec bumper bought new from z centre with the lights also new from z centre, the bumper has been prepped, adhesion promoter, 2kprimed with elastic and sprayed and fitted to my car, but has literally never been driven but the colour is suzuka grey pearl so will need painting to your colour, One of the holes that a screw goes through under the car has a tiny split in it the painter must have forgotten to take a screw out and split it but once the screw is in it still works and you cant see it because its underneath. £375 delivered for bumper and lights... I have a scuttle panel both pieces with all the screws/panel clips to fit again bought new fitted but never driven. looking for around £125 for scuttle delivered... set of alloy wheels with no tyres new and never fitted bought for £450 on ebay they had cruize or something wrote in the middle but i put the nismo badges on them and i think they look really smart There 18 by 9.5 rear et 35 and 18 by 8.5 et 32 front comes with full fitting kit bolts and spigot rings etc, still in there boxes wheels £350 delivered... Have a set of hks dump valves bought on here for £100 would like £80 delivered... Koyo rad looking for £100 delivered bought, fitted and been nowhere. If anyone is interested could really do with money paid into my account if possible cause i can never get it out of bloody paypal and end up spending it on ebay lol... Thanks for looking...
  23. There likely leaking a tiny amount that has dripped in your exhaust over a long period, Once u start the car and the exhaust gets hot enough then they start to smoke, Which is what i think is wrong with my car, but once mine clears it doesn't do it until i leave it standing...
  24. But working in a garage we cant strip down every car , or get that involved. If a customer came in said his car was perfect he parked it up for 8 months and its puffing a bit of smoke but all levels are fine and no noises, then i would say it needs a run. Its not puffing clouds out the back like a steam train, so the oil is going to be tiny or even sitting in the exhaust and needs to get hot to burn out. I no nothing about rolling roads and getting really involved in fueling and tuning but i do know a tiny bit of blue smoke is not going to kill the car and lots of old cars smoke a bit, Dan300zx sounds like his not a fitter and is going to pay money to a garage to do test when I'll bet it would clear in 10mins of driving. What could possibly happen if a car sat for 8months that is going to cause this... If it was bore washed really bad i would have thought it would spin over with no compression sound like cambelt snapped. Or black smoke and i ment if the car was in self learn and his using an mot emissions test to tell then it might give wrong readings... i wouldn't waste my money having it tested like that, on an mot machine...
  25. If it was driving perfect only 8 months ago and now its just smoking a bit, The oil pressure is fine, temperature is fine and no horrible noises whats it going to do... If it was a worn ring the engine needs a rebuild, if its stem seals it will just smoke on start up, if its a turbo seal its going to keep smoking... I work on cars too and in my opinion its smoking cause its sat for 8months and needs a good run i mean up the motorway or atleast a few miles. The fueling is probably going to be wrong if the battery was off or gone flat at some point so will need a good drive to settle down... If its insured book it in an mot station a few miles away and drive it there... I know you know what your talking about with motors but if a car sounded ok was running ok and was only smoking after sitting for 8months i would check all the levels and drive it to see if it cleared up... Mine does this if it sits for long periods, my car is 25yrs old so is not new and will likely be worn a bit which is causing the smoke on start up but if i use it often it doesn't smoke...
