I cant reply to your pm not subscribed at the moment, i had an hard time with no work so no money to finish my zed, now back in work trying to sort out everything so can finish the zed, i am hoping to have car sorted this year, and start getting to meets etc, i have not really done anything for meets or for the club and if there is anyone who would like to step in i dont mind, but hopefully soon id like to get back on track and enjoy club and the car again...

Best way if you dont have an impact gun is to use long breaker bar and wedge handle on the floor and quick flick of the key to undo it...you need to work out where to wedge so it does not flick around, but the best way is an impact gun i have an electric one, besgt tool ever for this type of thing...

That's what I was thinking considering a civic type r or my old prelude vtec was around 6.5sec and my 1st zed I always played with cousin in his civic and zed use to pull away easily. I've also driven a friends na and was not has fast as tt, felt about the same as my prelude vtec did,

I have to agree too, i am no fan of the slick top love taking targas out in the summer, and i prefer lwb to swb i think they look kind of squashed together, also prefer that if needed 2 adults even 6ft can get in the rear, 2 seats are for bikes not cars lol...

wobbly panels, runs, dry spots, shite in the paint, overspray, sinkages etc etc etc....all you really need is the person doing it to be good my cars (zeds) have been resprayed about 5 to 6 times... 3 times my brother in law painted it previous to last the respray and twice have been in a dirty workshop and the finish was still better then last respray by briley coachworks in an oven...with idiots doing it...who boast they do show cars and this and that and are useless...

Normally the bodywork is the hard bit and paint is easy but i have had mine done and me and my brother in law done all the body work and got the car in primer, we had nowhere clean enough to put the paint on his boss wanted same price to paint from start to finish even though we done all the work so i asked another company to paint it which was around 1k remember they only had to mask it up, panel wipe and paint it... but i got it home and found bits wrong so i took it back and they said they would respray it again for free, but by now i had put the windows back in including new rear screen rubbers etc... which they covered in paint and now thrown in the bin... The body on mine is really straight and had no welding or rust but to make the paint perfect still needs a good sprayer i can trust to flat it off mask it up and paint it without runs, sags and crap in the paint and some places there is no paint at all just our primer lol... smart repairs where my brother in law works quoted me 1500 quid to respray from start to finish including paint and flat and polish and they do a nice job, do a lot of lambos and ferraris etc... Once i sort myself out i will have it done again lol... Even with really good paint i priced mine up in glasurit cause that is what my brother in law was using before he worked at smart repairs and all the materials came to £700 for base and clear in suzuka grey pearl effect... Im guessing even most special house of kolor paints would be around that price too... even with special paint cant see why it would be more then 2k from start to finish...and maybe 2.5k if needs welding etc... but 6k id rather buy another car...i am really fussy with paint and worked with my brother in law a few times and in a workshop it would take less then a week to do the bodywork, spray and polish it and it would look really nice, For 6k he would have over 5k in his pocket for a weeks work...i would expect about 4 to 5 weeks work on the car for that lol... i would pay that money if it was stripped to a shell, all bare metal repairs done re primed and painted like a full restoration but not a respray...

You want an h3 hid kit and around 6000k which is the colour here is a graph...

I had new stock suspension and went to meister r and think it drives horrible but looks much better, on stock shocks and springs it was very good even on the bad roads we have round here and handled really well, now its quite stiff over bumps, and on bumpy roads its quite dangerous, when you jack the car the wheels dont droop they just stay the same in the arches and i think this causes my car rear wheels to leave the road over bumps when pushing hard, it feels like the wheels come off the ground a bit the wheel starts spinning faster and then cause back to kick around, on the limits on uk roads stock srings and new shocks drive so much better but look quite high... but on a perfect flat road i guess coilovers are better, for looks and on a track id say coilovers but for fast road use id say stock are better... I have driven a 300zx with the kyb shocks and lowering springs and to be honest that was quite stiff and crashy too, its likely just me but everyone who got in my zed said how quiet and smooth it was now it feels like a ratterly old dog lol...

There are 2 connecters in the footwell for hicas ecu, unplugging one will make the steering feel heavy the other will keep the light off and steering will be normal... if the 1st one you unplug makes steering heavy plug that back in and unplug the other...

that could really do with changing but centre 3/4 doesnt really work on that tyre for an mot, can only check grooves where there is a bar, and the last lines dont have them, we get told to check with a pen follow line from a bar if theres a step or line stops cant check there so can only check for cords etc...

I had similar problem with a local powder coaters on my candy blue plenum, they done it 3 times and never got it perfect, they even said well you should have said it was all on show and wanted it perfect, if i wanted it to be tidy and not right on show wouldnt of asked for the most exspensive colour lol... my brother in law works in smart repairs and they do alloy wheels and powder coating and everything looks great from them, i also have had problems with my car respray, company painted it twice cause i moaned and its still crap they couldnt do it 1st or 2nd time thought theres no point letting them load paint after paint on it, i dont know how they get away with it if i put an engine together and left the head bolts loose and then said whole well sorry... just a nightmare getting people to do things right and nice...
