  2. The weekend after pop up, I have enough spare parts to sort it mate, im a mechanic too so with a bit of luck should be able to sort it lol... His normally really good, I don't know what happened there,
  3. I think the filter is from nissan and the fluid is atf not a long life life time super expensive bmw crap...
  4. I know sod all about zed auto boxes exept mine went and wouldn't go into the last gear, I converted to manual, Only thing I can think of is they have a filter in the box if its dirty and clogging up maybe when the box is hot the fluid is thinner and gets through better, but thats just a guess lol...probably very wrong... Good luck.
  5. Anthony is not normally like that, there must be something wrong... To help u and return the favour bring that zed of yours to mine at the weekend and I have quite a few spare parts we get that squeeling sorted.
  6. Thanks again for the replies, the cat was shocked like the misses with exhaust in the kitchen lol... Misses still moaning when I got up this morning... - - - Updated - - - Lol im trying....
  7. And make sure you have the right waterpump pulley jap/uk different size so different belts. Just read again... Then as you drive you hear the whoosh and it's all right for a while... So the belt is definitely slipping and then gripping I'd blame the belt or pulley before 4viscous fans...
  8. I cant see a viscous even fully locked making a good and tight belt slip... Is the belt running straight, and without the belt on has any pulleys or water pump got any play. The viscous could be running fast after a while if the car is getting a little warm, Even a tiny leak in the coolant system will not let it build pressure and run a little hotter, Has above try it with the viscous off and see if it still does it...
  9. Thanks paul the bloody thing is getting there lol...
  10. Another couple of boring bits done... I used some vht black on the air regulator and Idle valve, They looked a bit rough on the shiney plenum but think they look better now and I started on my exhaust system, I used autosol on the boxes and vht black on the pipes Before after
  11. So was your drivers window new (jdm) mine has slight scratches but not has bad has the jap spec glass I have...
  12. I will have front screen and both doors, but rear and quarters im going to tint black... But your right it looks more modern on your car...
  13. And I sat in the car tonight so thought id take a pic of my dodgy clocks, The rings round the speedo/rpm are from a mk4 astra there the same size It does say its only got 1853 miles I turned them back to 0 so I know how many miles I have driven the car, its gonna have a fully rebuilt engine and nearly everything is new anyhow so who cares about mileage lol and when I bought the shell there was no clocks to tell anyway. Gonna turn it back to 0 again once the new engine is in so i can tell exactly how many miles it has done.
  14. I covered the tops of my doors in carbon wrap tonight to match the trim I done... This is to keep funkysi happy lol...when I was welding my engine bay up on last shell I thought I splattered the windows in grinding sparks but they came off so I have uk glass...
  15. Took some more bits to work today, not very interesting bits... I've removed the aircon, I never use it and in the summer when its really hot I take the roof off, And its made loads of room, the mount where the compressor bolts to had a big bulky bit sticking out so I cut the mount down, going to sand blast it and then paint it... I am doing the water bypass so this pipe had other pipes welded to it I cut them off and painted it satin black I primered the throttle cover its being painted 2k gloss black... The little heat sheilds cleaned up and painted silver/grey colour and yes I know its sad but used some coloured bolts lol...
  16. Lol...cheers, there a lot better then they were. I didn't get all the casting marks out them but there shiney.

  20. I started to build my plenum today at work, The throttle bodies were filthy so I tried to polish them, was a mission to do... But it seems to have made a big difference, I put another throttle body next to it which is about has dirty... And I stripped them down was shocked how many springs and plastic bits were in there lol...
