Infiniti brakes
Small update, I have recieved the 370Z brakes (with brackets for the 350Z) The calipers are almost twice the size of the stock calipers and discs are 355 mm To be able to fit the caliper brackets I had to grind a small bit out of the protusion on top of the hub (which is not a structual part of the hub, so it won't weaken anything) and cut a piece out of the bottom part of the dustshield. After that all fits fine. Only problem now is that my 18" ultralite wheels are too small and don't clear the calipers :( To be able to fit these brakes you will need wheels that have an inner diameter of at least 445 mm (17.4 ") to be continued...

Experts please help?
> Symptoms are the rev guage goes all over the place no power and lots of back firing, that's a typical CAS problem also you mentioned you had an error, indicating something wrong with the CAS. check/clean the CAS connector and plug and see if that helps, otherwise try another CAS

put car back together, not idling, now not starting
> and also if it is the loom/injector wires, > why is the ECU saying the temp sensor? if the temp sensor or temp sensor wiring is making a short it will cause a code 13 if the temp sensor cannot be accessed by the ECU, because it's missing, the connector isn't seated or there is a break in the wiring, it will also cause a code 13. get the car on a conzult, it will help to diagnose this problem much easier.

auto box conzult
what has been done to the car ? or did it suddenly started doing this ? regarding the autobox testing: in what shape is the autobox wiring loom ? what's the history of the box ?

put car back together, not idling, now not starting
next thing to check is the CAS and it's connector

> if you disconect the battery for an hour i didnt think that removes what its saved? yes, that should clear any stored errors > if still says error 13, the only other thing HAS to be is the senser itself has packed in yea? in what shape is your wiring loom ? if it's in bad shape, I would look for the problem there, as it's rare for temp sensors to go bad This may also explain why it's only running on 3/4 cylinders, because the injector connectors are usually the first ones to fail. Also make sure the main ECU connector (the blue one) is plugged in correctly. make sure it's plugged in straight/evenly and not too tight (because the connector will warp) next thing to

> just need someone to confirm the engine & radiater hard pipes need to be full of water for car to work the engine will start fine without a radiator (or coolant)..I wouldn't let the engine run for anything over 20 seconds without any coolant though. >> still wont fire & still gived same error code. did you clear the error code first, otherwise it might be the old code still. if you did clear the code, you either have a wiring/connector issue or the temp sensor is dead.

Infiniti brakes
I have a set on order and will post my findings.

Infiniti brakes
more like $1200 / 800 GBP .. at least for the conceptz 350Z kit in the picture I posted earlier http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=2895&Car_Type=350Z&UID=2009051409112382.171.140.206

Infiniti brakes
conceptz already have a complete kit with brackets for the 350Z, that should fit a Z32 as well with some small modifications: NB: these are the exact same calipers as the infiniti ones.

Infiniti brakes
>> I realise they are expensive not really, the calipers of the 370z sport edition (the ones in the ebay add) are only 550USD / 400EUR /370 GBP a pair...brandnew ! for comparison : the 350Z Brembo calipers are 2500 USD a pair. the 370Z sport brake setup will probably be the next "budget" big brake kit for the Zed (and many other cars), as soon as plug and play kits/brackets and matching discs are available.

Parts from other cars that fit the 300ZX?
and forgot this one: R32/R33/R34 GT-R FPCM (fuel pump control module) works fine on a Zed also

Parts from other cars that fit the 300ZX?
ok, got a few more. -99% of all EFI equipped nissans up to 2000 use the same coolant temperature sensor -90% of all EFI equipped nissans up to 2000 use the same knock sensor -90% of all EFI equipped nissans up to 2000 use the same TPS >1990 onwards Nissan patrol auto gearbox is the same as the auto fitted to the Z32 I think only the 3.0L petrol version though Nissan Cima Y32 and Infinity J30 AT gearbox can be made to fit a Zed also with some small modifications. A lot of Skyline manual gearbox parts can be used in our manual boxes, as most skylines have identical gearbox internals as the Zeds

NA TT Auto box
I wouldn't use a NA box on a TT, as it will burn out within 1000 miles. it does fit though, but you need everything: AT box + ECU , converter, flexplate and propshaft (front part) vice versa is also possible, but again you'll need everything

Got my hands on some 997 porsche brembos for next to nothing LOOK
> fluids always been new dot 5.1 Very bad idea on a brake system that was designed for DOT3 Do not use anything over DOT4 in a Zed

Front Undertray?
if you mean the undertray that's under the front bumper, then yes..it affects cooling

Noise coming from bottom pasenger side near turbo
There's a (metal) gasket between the (down)pipe bolted directly to the turbo and the turbo. What happes quite often is that one or more of the 2 nuts and 2 bolts (standard turbos) that connect this pipe to the turbo are missing, causing an exhaust leak between the turbo and downpipe. After a while the leaking exhaust gasses will blow the gasket to pieces, causing an even bigger exhaust leak.

How do i tell difference between a 95-96 engine and a 99 spec engine ?
Most obvious indications of a '95+ engine is the brass coloured balance pipe, new type injector (round/oval connectors) , CAS (also an oval connector) and 48P head stamps (as said before) 98+ (japanese) spec engines have all the above plus no EGR and EGR piping, which is hard to see if the engine is in the car, but should be easy to see with the engine out.

Looking for a front nearside wing in any colour but with no dents. ASAP :D
>> the cracks are right the way through not just on the surface, scary hey. Common failure with drilled brake discs. Also brembo ones.

which downpipes to buy???... opinions, what have u fit?
best 5 bolt downpipes available are the 3" version available at specialtyZ. They tested these new 3" pipes against other/older designs and the were better overall, in helping spoolup and power delivery. These are expensive though also because you will also need 3" to 2.5" testpipes to connect these pipes to the rest of your exhaust system. if you are on a really low budget you could even modify the cheapo 4 bolt split downpipes you find on ebay. cut of the flange and weld on a 5 bolt flange or modify the old 4-bolt flange so it fits the 5 bolt turbo. not really the recommended option though, but can be done as a temporary solution and then once you have some cash again, you could purchase proper pipes. -Eric

Chipped ECU questions
>> is the electrica fan on all the time usually? i can just wire that to come on all the time, sounds easy, No, on a TT the additional elec. fan turns on at low speed at a coolant temp of 95 Celcius and will go to high speed when coolant reaches 105 Celcius if you put a NA fan in it will only have the high speed option and will turn on too late...if at all The TT ECu can be reprogrammed to have the fan turn on earlier though. >> will the NA loom not tell the pump to turn on or something? or tell it not to provide enough fuel? the TT has a 2 speed fuelpump. It will run at low speed when cruising/idling and on high speed when needed (under boost or when accelerating)...this also is controlled by the ECU and the TT fuelpump controller. >> how can i resolve that from the top of my head you will have to run an extra wire from the ECU to the pump controller. or use a TT engine harness and TT interior harness

Big ends or Camshaft Bush rattle??
it's hard to hear in the video, but it sounds like worn VTC sprockets to me. especially if the sound is there already for a long time.

Chipped ECU questions
>> the looms are the same, just the NA loom doesnt have boost solenoids, there are more differences. 2 important differences are the wiring for the electrical fan and wiring for the fuelpump control module. As you will have to use the TT fuelpump control module and fuelpump in your conversion, you will need to rewire this as well. Another difference is taht the TT has a 2 speed elec. fan, the Na hasn't. But a TT ECU can be reprogrammed to control a NA fan.

FAO LYMON gt25r turbo fitment, (inlet adaptation!!)
>> lymon the actuators from CZP also have the same brackets????? that's a standard example picture, it's often used HKS makes a kit specific for the VG30DETT, so make sure you get the right ones. partnr. is 1430-RN002

FAO LYMON gt25r turbo fitment, (inlet adaptation!!)
regarding the inlet piping there's also an alternative method, which I forgot to mention: you could have alluminum flanges cut and weld those to the intake side of the compressor. This is what JWT/Z1 does to the turbos
