95 US 300 NA Alternator
Patrick, the alt of a TT won't fit the NA. In contrary to what you state: the Hitachi NA alternator CAN be rebuild (I know this since I had one reconditioned in Holland) Anyway, you can order one from Courtesy (which are reconditioned units as well), website: http://www.courtesyparts.com Or if you want, I can get you a brandnew non Nissan alternator, which'll fit the NA and is much cheaper then the Hitachi alternator contact me by email if you need more information. -Eric

message for moderators
Just post the link to where you found the videos ? There used to be a lot of commercials on ttzd.com, but the link doesn't work anymore. I also have a very rare promovideo that was shown in the US when the Zed was released. Although it has been translated in Japanese and the first minute the quality of the vid is not very good, it's still a very interesting video ! link : http://300zx-twinturbo.com/vidz/z-mpg.wmv a few other videos: http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/downs/9432/videos.html -Eric

Any thought on an electric water pump!
never heard of an electric pump on a Z32/VG30-engine.. I guess there's just not enough room or it requires too much custom pipework and/or modifications. -Eric

digital speedo's
-Apexi REV/SPD Meter (http://www.apexi-usa.com) -Techtom MDM100 (http://www.techtom.co.jp) there might be a few others, but these are quite common on Zeds.

Variable timing cam upgrade??
I recently replaced the timing belt in a car of a friend of mine and he ordered the timing belt kit (together with new springs) from Courtesy. When I replaced the springs I noticed the new springs were a lot stiffer and made of a thicker material compared to the old ones and very similar to the ones you describe.. So I guess Nissan decided to use stiffer springs at some point.. Maybe because the less stiff ones aren't really up to the job in the long run ? -Eric

Any way to determine if failing master or slave clutch cylinder
Jez, on a few US spec cars (also on one of my cars) the original clutch lines have been bypassed by a single line that runs straight from the master cylinder to the rubber hose that connects to the slave cylinder.. I'm not sure if it was a recall on US-specs or why they did it, but I never had any problems bleeding the system and it works great (I also have an upgraded clutch). It might be something worth to try out for you as well ? -Eric

over heating?can anyone help?
Sounds like there is something wrong with your temp sensor or the connector of the temp sensor. If there is, it should show up in the ECU-diag: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html -Eric
