  1. Patrick, the alt of a TT won't fit the NA. In contrary to what you state: the Hitachi NA alternator CAN be rebuild (I know this since I had one reconditioned in Holland) Anyway, you can order one from Courtesy (which are reconditioned units as well), website: http://www.courtesyparts.com Or if you want, I can get you a brandnew non Nissan alternator, which'll fit the NA and is much cheaper then the Hitachi alternator contact me by email if you need more information. -Eric
  2. Just post the link to where you found the videos ? There used to be a lot of commercials on ttzd.com, but the link doesn't work anymore. I also have a very rare promovideo that was shown in the US when the Zed was released. Although it has been translated in Japanese and the first minute the quality of the vid is not very good, it's still a very interesting video ! link : http://300zx-twinturbo.com/vidz/z-mpg.wmv a few other videos: http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/downs/9432/videos.html -Eric
  3. now if it only had 2 turbos as well :D http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1872942452 -Eric
  4. never heard of an electric pump on a Z32/VG30-engine.. I guess there's just not enough room or it requires too much custom pipework and/or modifications. -Eric
  5. Chris: http://www.birba.com I bought the dials from http://www.z32shop.de They were 90 euro (~57GBP) I think they only do dials in km/h though -Eric
  6. I bought some white faces, with red backlighting from birba racing a while ago. they do look nice at night...and it's different from all those blue indiglo faces you see nowadays ;)

  8. No, they're sidefeed (with the electrical connector on top)
  9. -Apexi REV/SPD Meter (http://www.apexi-usa.com) -Techtom MDM100 (http://www.techtom.co.jp) there might be a few others, but these are quite common on Zeds.

  11. Sounds like you have the non turbo engine, so you'll have to order parts for the non turbo. -Eric

Jim Wolf DOES have an ECU upgrade for the '96 models (since recently)...costs $750 or you could choose for a LINK ecu, which completely replaces the stock ECU. http://link-electro.co.nz/ -Eric
  13. Hi Jez, the Dutch Z32 forum is at: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi or the dutch Z&ZX mailinglist: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Z-point/ (members only) -Eric
  14. the boot sensor is in the locking mechanism... there's a single wire running to the lock, a bit hard to see and get to though.. -Eric
  15. I recently replaced the timing belt in a car of a friend of mine and he ordered the timing belt kit (together with new springs) from Courtesy. When I replaced the springs I noticed the new springs were a lot stiffer and made of a thicker material compared to the old ones and very similar to the ones you describe.. So I guess Nissan decided to use stiffer springs at some point.. Maybe because the less stiff ones aren't really up to the job in the long run ? -Eric
  16. Jez, on a few US spec cars (also on one of my cars) the original clutch lines have been bypassed by a single line that runs straight from the master cylinder to the rubber hose that connects to the slave cylinder.. I'm not sure if it was a recall on US-specs or why they did it, but I never had any problems bleeding the system and it works great (I also have an upgraded clutch). It might be something worth to try out for you as well ? -Eric
  17. temporarily available on my site: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi
  18. Sounds like there is something wrong with your temp sensor or the connector of the temp sensor. If there is, it should show up in the ECU-diag: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html -Eric
