  1. best way is to swap the clocks and reprogram eprom (do a search) but easier/ cheaper to use one of these modules - speak to luke @ zcentre http://www.zcentre.co.uk - had mine in for 3 years now, no problems. As for taking the dash off, it goes under the instrument binnacle so only takes 5 minutes to fit/ check/ remove - at least on the zx. hth Rich
  2. Hey Steevo - another gif for ya!
  3. he wasn't calling you a no brainer - just saying the decision doesn't need any thought/ use of your brain... buy a z, OBVIOUSLY!! You might get a different opinion on the whathi-fi forums though ;)
  4. On the subject of online trading, I didn't set up a mechant account I just used a secure web server to download transaction details from and run them through streamline - this function is available from most software packages and is much cheaper than getting a merchant account. Only trouble may be getting the streamline (although HSBC are particularly easy to get one from if you are 'careful with the truth'!!) Rich
  5. I don't know the ins and outs of the business you're considering, but if it's payment in advance (eg. straightforward supply of goods) why don't you start up as a sole trader then look at limited liability if and when you decide whether the business is viable? It reduces your initial costs and lets you experiment a little before you're fully committed. All the best with it! Rich
  6.     at first I thought you were mad for owning up!!!
  7. Don't buy a Motorola V3 - 'all show and no go'!!! (IMHO) Mine's almost up for renewal now, and I can't wait - battery life awful - almost unusable if you use bluetooth, and capacity's rubbish... have to delete all the good porn to make room when someone sends me a new video  Plus, sent it back twice, both times been software failure, and the case gets battered to hell - and don't even think about dropping it! Stick with Nokia!
  8. Max Hydraulics according to this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=29697&highlight=hydraulic+suspension Rich
  9. print off the ad too - before it disappears ;)
  10. and chapter 2... http://www.boost-world.com/forum/showthread.php?t=483
  11. Not sure about your insurance in Ireland, but some policies offer legal cover here - where you can at least call for some legal advice. Good luck with it, Rich
  12. their modems and routers are notoriously bad - BT engineer came out to an office I was doing some work in and said 80% of his call out are for failed equipment, but they can't change models as they bought thousands!!
  13. fair play - you got us bang to rights on the hollyoaks thing... Sorry everyone! Just a shame the women out on a sat night look nothin like the ones in hollyoaks...
  14. and we have both you cheeky fecker ;) (admittedly the university is shite!!)
  15. Exactly what I was going to say - it really is miles better now they've completely ironed out the bugs...
  16. that is the funniest thread I've read in ages!!! it's got arguments about the difference between 'front and back' holes, tips on technique, advice to get the girl drunk first... hilarious!! Imagine if we had that posted on here - there'd be a poll about its relevance then a poll about annoying polls   (no offence to anyone intended!) Rich (off to find the filth...)
  17. cheers for the info people! Just waiting for costs from MJP and I'll take it from there. Rich
  18. Cheers greg - gotta admit I did think they were more expensive than that! Cheers. Rich
  19. I've decided to bite the bullet and get the zed back on the road - so will be changing the cambelt and a few other bits over the winter... Gonna order a kit, but remember someone mentioning you can get a recon kit for the tensioner rather than replacing - but can't find the post... anyone remember??? Thanks in advance Rich
  20. I'd assume it'll be the bulbs he's referring to - I doubt he's actually taken one apart to compare the quality of the components... unless the ballasts have a known fault?? I'd say for the money they're worth a pop... less than half price, and £130 is really only a night out!! Rich
  21. Bloody hell - same deposit requirements as i needed for first time buyer! Good luck with it mate - I got a mortgage longer than 25 years, hoping that as I build up equity I can reduce the term... Rich
  22. Their argument (taken to extremes) is that you could insure a mini, jump in a ferarri and run over a bus queue of people! Although anyone who would be stupid enough to risk their expensive car driving TPO should be shot anyways! As usual, the police are jumping on the bandwagon saying it will reduce the number of people claiming they don't know who's driving - but I'd argue most of that is peope who are named drivers on a policy rather than people just borrowing cars.
  23. at least you gave everyone OVERNIGHT to reply before whinging!! It's usually the speed sensor or a poorly wired convertor that screws up the speed signal (as power steering is speed-sensitive). Do a search - there's loads been posted about this. Rich
