  1. nice one mate - go get :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  2. what's this boot cover about - he says it's standard... was this an optional extra (looks like a hard cover?!?)
  3. yeah i'm sure he'll be glad that you posted in a public forum that me made an illegal copy of a program and sent it to you ;) BTW - if you're struggling for serials/ passwords I may be able to help   :x:
  4. looks like your rear fog's come loose - shove it out of the way until mot time!!!
  5. well done for at least trying to help, but you must think of yourself and your family now - get in touch with the embassy for advice, before you speak to the police.
  6. Removing Hicas has absolutely nothing to do with being cheaper - it's about removing an unnecessary driver aid - we don't drive fast enough in the UK to warrant it (Germany maybe). It would be a different matter if Nissan had followed Honda's example and utilised it as a parking aid...
  7. me too - never used them though cos they feel so light I'm sure they'd snap!
  8. What?? The PUBLICITY comes from the article in the magazine and it going round the internet etc. Think about it - would we all be discussing it if it was just someone's blog about the rubbish service he'd received? No! The best publicity he'd get without this would have been local rag, local radio and maybe an honest John in the Times Motoring! I don't understand why everyone gets so wound up - i think it's a pretty good 'marketing' plan - and surely only idiots would actually donate! If you actually read through the problems he's had, chances are he'll have the last laugh if he chooses to go to court as I'd bet that in 12 months he'll of got details of most 307 owners who'd had the same problems (after the denial of a fault) and could arrange a class action.
  9. it's not the money he's after - hence the charity donation if (when!!) he doesn't raise enough... it's about PUBLICITY - and forcing a massive company to do the right thing!! Why does everyone have to take a negative view about people??
  10. ta very much - that'll be me preparing to **** up a set of dials then!!
  11. awesome car - need to buy as late as possible though cos the earlier electrics are awful! Had a drive of a race prepped 928 and it was absolutely ****ing brilliant - it's like being in a fighter jet the way the cabin closes round you!
  12. 911 - it's a Porsche.. one day :hyper: :hyper: Elise - fun for the twisties, but crap when you need raw power - i got bored of it real quickly, but guess it could be a fun weekend car. 350z - couldn't face a slower zcar!! (But they are pretty nice!) Someone mentioned the espirit - you think the Zed's trouble!! I keep playing with the idea of restoring one (mate's got one with a blown engine) but he says they're awful cars - he's a shit salesman!!
  13. couldn't recommend the ebayer could you?? Rich
  14. No they don't! And I'm not the only one who know's this ;) http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&hl=en&q=li-ion+batterys+memory+effect&meta=&btnG=Google+Search
  15. at the end of the day, it's a car forum - the political stuff belongs somewhere else... we've had the problem with stupid posts, and shouldn't risk the same happening with all the PC rubbish/ comments/ opinions - IMHO I get enough of that in the pub!
  16. shouldn't we (you ;) ) delete the 'christmas tree rant'?? As it says, you should remove the offensive material when you become aware of it. Not having a go or anything... actually, make it sticky so noone has anything to do with the twat and his business goes bust!
  17. are you talking about battery memory like you get in nicads or is this a physical 'meter'?? I'd assume the battery is li-ion which cannot suffer from 'memory'
  18. maybe i'm getting the wrong idea but... i'll help you clean it off in return for copies of the pics    (you are talkin oil off of a naked bird aren't you??   )
  19. either - makes no odds to the car... personally, I tuck them away, cos it might deter people who might buy the car some day in the future to see cut wires if they don't undersdtand why. Rich
  20. it's when they "move out of the way" into your planned route your gonna stain your pants - gettin a call when the sunday drivers are out will be a killer!
  21. he's looking at a supercharger...
  22. for some bizarre reason, the front reminds me of a squashed down Cayenne!! Rwally must sleep...
  23. exactly - I'm sure I read somewhere that it was intended to make high-speed (100 plus) lane changing safer... for fast european roads.
  24. Cost bigger all (surprisingly) from Nissan
  25. it would be pretty rare to fry the ecu like that - not saying it can't happen, but thousands of people have jumped zeds before without problems - me included more times than I care to remember!! :headvswal :headvswal as to the running problems - try disconnecting and reconnecting your ECU - making sure your get the socket in square... the connector's notorious for making a poor connection. Rich
