NZR (kinda) Rant
A theory of mine is that it keeps crime figures down - a bit like Blair's Britain really. You will undoubtedly have less crime commited if everything is made legal  Richard :x:

Worst Z32 rear lights?
I have a preference for 99 spec rears but these are very nice. Although personally I would just have the white lenses with colourd bulbs behind. Richard :)

Ermm....!
Just stay here mate....... .....the RX forum will be pants compared to this place anyway :x: Richard :)

Silver Indicator Bulbs
Nothing wrong with that mate! I bought a few pairs of silver side repeater bulbs off ebay last month - way cheaper than the usual outlets. I fitted them to all 3 cars and they look sooooo much better than the "fried egg" orange bulbs. Richard :)

Just come back from a lovely drive in the Zed....engine now run in
Looking very good Si - Love those wheels too. I didn't think you could have inproved on the Rays ones on the car when you bought it but they are pure class  Glad you are enjoying the car again too mate. And good luck with the American college girls too  Richard :)

Why is this Zed still for sale? Forum member's I thought?
I agree here too - stock seats are the only option for a 300zx. If you want to upgrade, just have them re-upholstered. Richard :smw:

Why is this Zed still for sale? Forum member's I thought?
For the used car market this is generally (unfortunately) true. Shame really because the 300zx is one of the very few cars that actually looks good in white. Along with (IMO of course) the Mk2 MR2 and Mk3 Supra. Richard :wack:

Painting rear wiper and renewing exterior trim
I sprayed black hammerite (smooth version) on the rear wiper. Looks fine. I couldn't remove the front wipers to spray them so I just tried the brush painting and it looks pants. I must try and get them off to sand and re-spray one of these days..... Richard :)

spark plugs...
Wise words there

hesitation at top speed
Hicas light could just mean the power steering fluid is a little low. But combined with your speed issue, could it be a faulty speed sensor? Richard :)

Awesome Link: For anyone born before 1980
Had to watch the Sabrina vid again and again just to research the "nip" exposure. I remembered the video but didn't recall such a high nip count. I think I'd better watch again just to make sure  Richard :)

What do you think?
what he said :wack: Anyway, I've never liked the R32 from a looks point of view. The R33 is miles better although still nothing special to look at really. I still wouldn't buy either one though - now an R34 GTR, that would be a different matter  Richard :)

Whats the best fuel octane level to use?
Not necessarily mate. J-spec cars are probably better on higher octane fuels like Optimax, whereas UK spec cars are designed for 95ron. My UK spec happily runs on regular 95ron with no problems most of the time, although I do use Optimax or BP Ultimate in very hot weather as I have occasionally experienced detonation (and safety boost) when the outside temp hits 30 degrees. Richard :)

350Z or S15 Sylvia?
I went with the minority and chose the 350Z. It has the Z-car heritage and a sweet V6 engine. Plus I've driven one and it is indeed a fine drivers car. Not as quick as a stock 300zx on the straight (as we all know  ) but still fast enough..... Richard :smw:

Aftermarket wheel sizes
Agree with the above - no wider than 235 tyres on the front otherwise it will tramline terribly. There will be no real benefit to handling either so it's just not worth it. For 235 tyres you only need 8 inch wide rims. OK to go wider on the back though :) Richard :smw:

Windscreen claim
I'd call another windscren company mate! £1300 seems very high - I'd have thought no more than half that, even for a J-spec car  Richard
-
Safety boost for no reason
Could be a faulty det sensor..... Richard

so is it worth it anyone interested??
Ditto here mate :(
