  1. One of the fire extinguishers at my old office had the instructions "Do not hold horn during discharge!" Richard
  2. Amen brother - don't Hassle the Hoff
  3. Makes me mad too - fekking scamming time wasting :xxx: s. However there are obviously some real naive sellers out there that still ship to Nigeria otherwise the scammers wouldn't bother trying it on  Richard
  4. I'm afraid I agree with you too Mark :( Richard
  5. Some wise words there Si  Richard :)
  6. I'm inclined to believe this too, otherwise why would the French Piglet bother with motorway speed traps to catch us faster Brits? Richard :)
  7. How's the oil consumption in general - are you having to top it up often? Richard
  8. True - turbo engines don't like the heat too much mate. Colder air is a different density than hot and turbos tend to like things on the cooler side. Richard :)
  9. Ditto :)
  10. Here http://www.cafco.co.uk/ Richard :)
  11. Same one as a Lambo Diablo apparently :wack: I just bought one from my local motor factors - he had one in stock and it cost me £40. Richard :)
  12. Exactly - lowering the pressure will end up causing more engine damage than just having a leaking rear seal. Think how hot these engines get, in this weather a decent oil is essential mate - oil pressure being too low will kill your engine  Richard

No, but I read in Japanese performance that there are more imports than UK spec cars here now. Richard :)
  14. Replacement bulb kit is actually mandatory in Europe so definately take one. French police will fine you on the spot for any non-compliance with the law. Do the light conversion as well and leave that radar detector at home - they are very illegal in France  Otherwise have a good trip - the Zed will behave if it's been looked after in the first place, it's still a Nissan after all ;) Richard :)
  15. Sounds like your local garage has no idea about the 300zx mate. :( Nissan put an engine oil cooler there for a damn good reason - these engines generate an awful lot of heat! I thought the Z centre conversion (for a j-spec car) supplied an extra oil cooler for the engine, then the gearbox oil was cooled using what was the original engine oil cooler? Surely this would have been easy for even a baboon with a tiny bit of mechanical knowledge. I reckon even I could do it  No mate, start as Znut said - go back and tell him what he shall do for you. You've paid for the work afterall. Richard :)
  16. She didn't look like a real blonde anyway - more the "Hair by Domestos" type ;) And Pete's right, I don't assume all blondes are bints, or all bints are blonde. I was referring to the collection of those that actually do fall into both categories. Which obviously won't apply to female members here, afterall you drive Zeds too so by that reasoning can drive......... Richard :smw:
  17. Would a thinner oil not leak more - being thinner it would surely seep through a smaller gap? Richard
  18. Seconded - 5 spokes are best on a red ZX  Richard :)
  19. I live in Great Missenden, but I work in Aylesbury. I sometime drive through Walton Court on the way to work so I'll look out for you - I only use the ZX once or twice a week now though. Richard :)
  20. Just have to have a rant here. I was (for my sins) driving my ZX along the A40 in High Wycombe this morning, at a point where the road narrows from 2 to 1 lane. There is a clear sign saying "Merge in turn" at the junction. I was in the right lane at the lights, so when they changed, the BMW in front in my lane went off first (as usual  ) so I let the people carrier to my left me go in front as per the sign. I was just about to "merge in" behind the people carrier when this dopey blonde bint in a Pug cabrio flew up the inside of me, inches from the people carrier and almost took the front of my car off when she swerved to miss a parked car  Then the dumb slag had the nerve to hoot me and give me the :xxx: wave like it was my fault  LEARN TO FEKKING READ WOMAN - YOU DON'T OWN THE ROAD Rant over :wack:
  21. Ha ha - my thoughts exactly mate! I will be glad to see the back of those awful car flags though - they always fly from fekking people carriers driven by @rseholes who can't actually drive properly. However I do like the way the Cross of St George pisses off the "politically correct" brigade though...... Richard
  22. Auto box is weaker on the J-spec car owing to lack of decent oil cooler. Uk spec autos should fare better (says hopefully with a UK spec on 85k miles now and still going strong....... :wack: ) Richard :smw:
  23. I hear that the twat Beckham has ordered a Bugatti Veyron. What a waste of a fantastic car :x:
  24. Don't care  They were never going to win anyway - they're just a bunch on overpaid under educated ponces. Nuff said.
  25. I can't stand football either......... ......and as my cupboards are verging on empty I'm off to Sainsburys in 1/2 hour as I guarantee it will be nice and empty  Richard :)
