  1. Have to go with option A. Whilst I am generaly opposed to violence I am pissed off with with dopey bints, careless twats and generally selfish scum who have no respect for other peoples' property. I have had my SLK for 4 months now and when I bought it there was not a single mark on the paintwork. Each time I clean it now I find another scuff or scratch that needs polishing or, worse, a dab of touch-up paint. I made the effort to find a spotless example and I personally take care parking etc and have never scuffed any car I've ever owned. I have not had any issues in the ZX, despite its width, as I find people generally give it respect. B@stards  Richard
  2. None here :hyper:

I'd agree here too - the white lines do not pass much quicker when the speedo shows 220, than they did at 100. And when it slows down, the white lines appear to fly past at the same rate  Richard :smw:
  4. Ditto here. How long does it take, and is it difficult? Richard :smw:
  5. Scampy Furrycheeks!!!!
  6. Agree too. He has been a father to you for 15 years so it seems right that you should still get a card. He will appreciate it that you still love and respect him. Richard :smw:
  7. got mine this morning too :hyper: Very nice work there, Steve  Definately emphasises this is a club, not just a forum. Richard :smw:
  8. Definately contest it mate. Afterall the photo does not actually show you driving in the bus lane! The authorities just hope you will be intimidated by "photo evidence" and just pay more hard earned cash into their coffers. Tell them you will WILL go to court if necessary - if you are in the AA or RAC you can get free legal representation so the court case will cost them a lot more than they will get from you by way of the fine! Good luck mate. Richard :smw:
  9. I'd agree with the fact that 15 years and a few miles under the belt would mean the engine is pushing out less horses than it did when new. Several UK magazines recorded 5.6 0-60 and the 1/4 at just over 14; and at various times, not just at the car's launch. WhatCar managed this in 1993 in a group test to prove the ability of the Mk4 Soopra. As loads of you have still seen between 5.5 and 6 in fairly stock cars I reckon the car is easily capable of "factory figures" but it is all down to the driver and the launch. Another point on "factory figures" is the series 2 brochure states 0-60 in 5.9! Richard :D
  10. I don't think they are very good either - coz the whole idea is just stupid American crap. A bit like "team building weekends" and "bonding sessions" I do like my job quite a bit, but ultimately I only go there because I get paid to. OK, it's good to have the odd social function but I have a life and friends outside work and like to keep work/leisure totally separate. Don't worry Hun - it's only a travesty if you are pipped for the award by "an inanimate carbon rod" like poor old Homer  Richard :D
  11. I'm not actually sure they are. From what I have read in the past, you can fit them either way round - position the grooves pointing forwards at the top gives more agressive braking but increased pad wear. Whereas pointing rearwards at the top gived quieter braking and prolongs the life of the brake pads. Then again that could be rubbish...... ;) Richard :D
  12. Hi mate, Next time I'll bring the ZX....... ......much better for overtaking the aged drivers that also frequent your fine county out of season ;) Richard :D
  13. Yeah...... ....one of those "moose bags" They probably sell those in petrol stations too (next to the condoms, no doubt) in case some poor chav pulls a munter and cannot face looking at the fire place whilst poking the fire  Richard ;)
  14. .....Where were you? I was down there all last week in the sun (until yesterday - 10/6) and only saw 1 300zx. It was Thursday lunch time - a red 300ZX driving through St Blazey towards St Austell. I was heading towards Lostwithiel in a silver SLK, I flashed my lights but you were busy biting your nails so I guess you didn't see me ;) John Lowndes, was it you??? Richard :D
  15. True - it's practically everyone wearing a football shirt
  16. Very quiet they were  I drove home from Cornwall (via Glastonbury incidentally - looked round the shops and lunched in the Abbey Tea Rooms) and most roads were deserted! It took a while for the reason to sink in though as I too can't stand football. When we got home we took advantage of the game and did the Sainsburys run. Store was deserted too - fantastic for a Saturday afternoon :D Richard :smw:
  17.   Nuff said :hyper:
  18. Option 2 here........ I just think how long I'll be and where it is parked - same with the roof on the SLK. Near home I have no worries as people tend to respect nice cars here...... However in really hot weather I prefer to leave the roof in place and keep the a/c set low and cold ;) Richard :D
  19. Therein lies your problem mate! My ZX (UK spec) came with new Avon ZZ1s and the car handled awfully in the wet - I only had to touch the accelerator and the back would give. I fitted Goodyear GSD3 F1s straight away and what do you know - no more grip problems in any conditions. Haven't tried snow yet though..... ;) Richard :D
  20. Waste of time fitting mirrors to Beemers as well - the fekkers never use them, they just pull into your lane without a care :mac1: I followed this dopey bint in a 3 series some 30 miles along the M40 over the weekend - she obviously never looked in her door mirrors (not even to check her hair ;) ) because THEY WERE STILL FOLDED IN!!!! Richard :nono:

Some wise words there, Andrew. Richard :smw:
  22. Usually I begin by opening the door and sitting in the diver's seat. I start the engine, engage drive, release the brake and depress the pedal on the right. I find that the more I depress said pedal, the faster the car goes.......... ;) Why, do you drive your's using any other method than the traditional one?? Richard :D

I have a UK car but didn't like the "London Transport" sign on the front. I therefore bought a j-spec nose panel from AndyZ and fitted a nice new red "Z" badge courtesy of the Z Centre..... Richard :hyper:
  24. Wasn't that a Max Power thing 10 years ago? ;) Seen the one behind the grill in a Mk3 Escort though - Chav Tastic  Richard :D
