  1. Good aerodynamics perhaps? These cars were built for covering long distances at very high speeds afterall.... ......Oh and just over 160mph in my UK spec (supposedly limited to 155). Car felt rock steady as well - much better than my Merc SLK at 120 ;) All on this private test track I have access to, of course. Officer :x: Richard :D

Very nice car mate........ ......but once a moderator sees a registered user attempting a cheeky sale this thread will be zapped. Richard ;)
  3. NO. You have to replace the whole nose cone. I have a UK car and wanted to switch the badges, but the Nissan badge is "London Transport" logo shaped and fits in a hole in the nose section of the same shape - take the badge off and see for yourself! J-spec Z badge is just round. I bought a 2nd hand J-spec nose panel from Andy Z in the same colour as my car for £25. Much easier.... Richard :smw:
  4. Last bit is exactly what I was going to say...... Richard :D
  5. Many happy returns mate :hyper: Richard :D
  6. Could be the PCV valves. Very common problem and fairly easy to fix. Richard :smw:
  7. Hey Vini The LAw Society are their governing body. They do have a website somewhere.... However before you contact them you should really contact a partner in the practice to complain about the woman not responding to your calls. Give the firm the chance to sort things out internally before getting the Law Society involved. Richard :smw:
  8. Ditto here  Richard :D
  9. Nice one mate! I've just moved - my old house took nearly 2 years to finally go but everything is just fine now :D Richard
  10. PMSL   Anyway - as said above, it's a laugh so let's go for it! Richard :D
  11. Just sent PAypal to Chunk's address Richard :)
  12. Count me in too.... .....although I may me off-line for a couple of days. I'm moving house Thursday and my 'net access may not be connected straight away. Richard :smw:
  13. Sorry to hear that Indy :( Glad you are OK though. Don't worry about the personal injury claims - as everyone has said, that's for the insurance company to deal with. Good luck mate - hope you return in a Z soon. Richard
  14. Sorry to be different here, but I have always read that oil should be checked on a warm engine. Hence why most car handbooks suggest checking the oil after refueling. The main reason is that many impurities are absorbed by the oil - water vapour, petrol residue etc. All these nasties are in liquid form in a cold engine, dissolved in the oil making the oil level appear higher than it really is. Once the oil is warm, these impurities evapourate leaving a more accurate reading of the oil level. This explains why the reading may appear lower on a hot engine than a cold one. Do note though, that the oil in these engines takes a long while to drain back to the sump though...... Richard :smw:

Good luck Chunkster :D Richard :smw:
  16. Alloys will only add to the value if the insurance company has included them when calculating your premium. You could always buy back the salvage and break it yourself - although you would have to subscribe to sell any parts on here. Best see what you get offered before making any decisions mate. Good luck Richard :smw:

I once cancelled a mates credit cards on Valentines Day - the shit he got trying to pay for the meal when taking his girlfriend out for dinner that night :D Then there was the time we nicked CO2 fire extinguishers from school. One guy sprayed my leather jacket and froze a small section of it. After several beers later, whilst nature was taking its course, I snuck up on him when he was having a pee and released the whole extinguisher on his knob...... The whole line of piss froze and he ran around screaming for at least 15 minutes....... :x: Richard :smw:
  18. Don't need to bother mate. I fitted the Roxie Hart kit to my UK spec car and simply connected the wires to the existing loom. When I switch on the side lights, there is insufficient power to activate the ballast boxes so nothing happens until I switch on the regular dipped beam anyway. HTH Richard :smw:
  19. I always believed the J-spec car had a tiny auto-box oil cooler whilst the UK spec had a bigger one  Could be totally wrong though - I'm sure someone else will clarify this...... Richard :smw:
  20. http://www.dtmotorsport.co.uk Try here. Dave knows his stuff  They are the sole UK importers of Azev and other quality wheels and will get them direct from the factory specifically drilled for a ZX. Richard :smw:
  21. That looks like a phone aerial to me..... I have a UK spec ZX and as far as I know there is only 1 aerial  Richard :smw:
  22. Very impressed with the finished product Dave  Don't fancy doing mine, do you............? ;) Richard :D
  23. Looking very good mate
  24. Should have been locked up FFS - I mean those two chaps caught racing in Scotland (One drove a 300zx) were imprisoned. They both had licences, insurance and never hit anything/anyone  As for the 2 year ban - makes me laugh; he was driving without a licence anyway so that won't stop the tosser driving again  Richard :x:
  25. I also like that very much :hyper:
