Just been told today that my house sale is finally going through!! :D :nana2:
After all it'll only have been 11 weeks!
Now some won't see that as very long in the general scheme of house selling/buying, but this was supose to be a straight forward no hassle sale. She had the money agreed from a divorce settlement, so was a cash buyer, and I'm currently not buying anywhere else, so it should have gone through in about 6 - 7 weeks.
The problem arrose at week 7 when I asked what was the delay, and found out that it wasn't quite so simple after all, as in... He had to get the settlement agreed through solicitors, then had to apply for a new/re mortgage, and that's what I've now been waiting for :headvswal It would have been nice to have been told from day one that I'd have to wait for all this to be settled first
The biggest problem is that I've been out of work for the last 8 weeks, so have had to be useing my redundency to pay the bills. It will have cost me about £2000(ish) extra in paying bills that I wouldn't of had to, had the sale gone through on time :headvswal I'm sure you can imagine how p155ed off I am at the moment, but also happy that I finnaly have a date sorted.
