  1. LOL - that too Pete....
  2. This was the comment that got me..... "PAYMENT - I CAN EXCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS BUT THE AMOUNT PAID BY CARD WOULD BE PLUS VAT" ....Errr, no! Not on a used car, my friend! Vat qualifying cars are only those purchased from brand new, for 100% business purposes (EG a hire company, who buys to rent the cars out; or perhaps a driving school or chauffer; if they can prove no personal use). An imported 300zx - that will never be a VAT qualifying car...
  3. Hmmmmmm V8.... Good luck with the conversion mate...
  4. Thank you for your continued support....
  5. Looking good Daz - looking VERY good....
  6. I was going to say, after fitting an aftermarket head unit, the connector lead from Nissan to ISO does not have a live feed to the OEM rear amp. You have two choices to rectify it.... ....That is one of them! The other is to join the live feed for the accessory (eg electric aerial) to the one for the amp; and then you can still use the OEM rear amp.
  7. I ordered some Mishimito goodies for mine....... ......They arrive Tuesday and (hopefully) my local garage can fit them Wednesday/Thursday, so the Zed will be back to its old reliable self for the weekend... http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/nissan-300zx-performance-aluminum-radiator-turbo-90-96.html http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/nissan-300zx-turbo-silicone-radiator-hose-kit-90-96.html http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/mishimoto-universal-transmission-cooler-kit.html Richard:clover:
  8. That is brilliant - thanks Andrew, you're a star... The UK spec radiator is now discontinued; as confirmed by Mike Feeney, two local Nissan dealerships and Courtesy Nissan in the US. I was then wondering how to deal with the pipework, if I went for something like the Mishimito rad and oil cooler upgrade.... And your diagram provided the answer!! Richard:thumbup:
  9. That's pretty good Si.....
  10. Many happy returns Sir - have a great day...:happybday: Richard:cool:
  11. I'll be sending my old one back to Mondo in the week - Si re-trimmed a spare one for me, that he had sitting around. Seems only fair to return one, so Si can do the business for someone else:cool:
  12. New steering wheel now fitted.....:dance: I took these on my 'phone, so they are not the best quality. I'm damn pleased with the new 'wheel though; great work Mondo, quality is just superb:bow:
  13. Seconded - that could be a very nice car if the rust is not terminal!
  14. I could not resist using my Zed for the Sainsbury's run again this morning - even with the leaky rad..... Luckily it's just 6 miles each way - and there's little chance of getting stuck in traffic and overheating at that time of the morning, so I took the chance:wink: And later, I might just fit my new steering wheel and red Z centre badge. I assume one removes the old badge first, as opposed to just sticking it over the top:biggrin:
  15. Yup me too.... I must get my arse into gear and fit mine after Mondo worked his magic:thumbup: I have to agree - Nissan got this car just right out of the box. And a few subtle upgrades here and there aside, there's no need to mess with it:cool:
  16. Exactly what Chris said mate..... ......If you're refilling from dry (IE the torque converter has been drained of all oil too) then you're looking at in the region of 8 litres!!
  17. You're a star! Cheers Russ....
  18. Hi and welcome to the club Tim:thumbup:
  19. Thanks Dan - the offer is gratefully appreciated!! I have asked Mike at MJP if he can source the OEM item, but if not, then I will buy an after-market rad and take you up on your kind offer:cool:
  20. Nope - I removed the PAS cooler and just joined both ends of the hoses together - I left it them front of the rad, where they always sat:wink:
  21. Got it - from the Aus forum..... ....UK/EU spec cars have a double auto-transmission cooler; one in each side of the radiator! http://s21.photobucket.com/user/twinturboz/media/SALE%20ITEMS/P7310129.jpg.html http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-329812.html So I need to find an OEM UK spec radiator. Looks like it's MJP or Nissan.
  22. They do - it's a small, single core cooler that sits in front of the radiator in the grill opening. They rust to bits and leak, hence I removed mine a while ago!
  23. Happy birthday Andy - have a great day mate! Richard:happybday:
  24. Yup - that's what I understood. Also, diff oil is quite viscous and would certainly not be pumped through those small pipes to the radiator... ....So if I appear to have a second 'cooler in the rad, can I just join the two hoses and not use it, and fit what is otherwise a normal replacement radiator for an automatic Zed?
