  2. ........It was the perfect autumnal day for a 100 mile drive home; enjoying the sunshine, Planet Rock on the radio and an twin-turbo charged V6 soundtrack.....
  3. I took the train down to Bath yesterday morning and, on arrival, was taken to the dedicated unveiling area.......
  4. A belated happy birthday Danny! Richard:happybday:
  5. That is indeed a very tidy 'vert - nice find Gaz.... I also like the up-turned DTM style tail-pipes....
  6. Hi and welcome (back) Steve.... Good luck with your new toy mate...
  7. Indeed - great club spirit sir.....

  11. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  12. LOL - but Si doesn't take his Zed out in weather to get it sufficiently dirty, to warrant a full on wash each time!
  13. Good news Joel - I kinda knew that already; and was just waiting for you to step up before announcing..... There may be a members' poll put up tomorrow, depending on how any more volunteers we get during today. However since you won, not one but two, awards at Coventry, the members have already spoken. You're in with a resounding endorsement!! Thank you for your commitment mate, we truly appreciate it..... I look forward to seeing you there again in 2016... Richard:cool:
  14. Oh feck - is he still around...... .......Ooops, I mean many happy returns for yesterday Mikey!! Hope you had a great day mate.... Richard:hapybday:

  16. Welcome to the club Mark - and interesting username mate.... This is true - unless you are in the business of selling cars for profit, of course.... HMRC has always viewed cars as a "wasting asset" because they nearly all depreciate; and are deemed to have a finite useful life of less than 50 years. Classic cars are still cars and therefore receive the same tax treatment - so no CGT....!
  17. Nope - not seen that article before..... .....Great find Gaz; thanks for sharing mate....
  18. As title folks - the NEC 2016 is almost upon us; and we need 4 of the very best cars this club has to offer, in order to represent the Z32 and club on the world stage. Dates for the show are: Thursday 10th November - be there around 9am for set-up Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th November - show open to the public Sunday 13th November - remain until after the show closes, dismantle and leave Your car will be locked in for the entire duration - no exceptions; and no chance of arriving later or leaving earlier. You do not have to remain with it; although your assistance in manning the stand over the weekend would be appreciated. And if you can't stay, then you'd have to entrust your keys to one of the committee on hand over the weekend. Just in case of emergencies! The club has booked (twin) rooms at the Ibis hotel; the cost of which is covered by us. Albeit you'll be expected to share with another participant. Meals etc are not covered, you will be expected to pay for your own food... Time is now of the essence, this thread is not a debate; or for opinions to be voiced. If you have a Zed which you feel will meet the required standard; and are willing to participate and able to commit to the whole weekend, then you are welcome to volunteer....! We had a few potential volunteers from our thread back in January - if you're still up for it, please let us know ASAP. This thread will be closed on Sunday evening, so what are you waiting for...... Richard:clover:
  19. Do it Steve - Julia took me to the Brooklands Museum on my birthday a few years back. It was a great day out (we visited MB world for the first time as well)... I got all misty-eyed on the Concord Experience... Next time I visit MB world, I'll have to book a track experience, they let you take out the new AMG GT now, I believe...
  20. ..............During a visit to Mercedes-Benz World this morning, that I have a McLaren SLR Roadster.... .......In my dreams.....
  21. Hi and welcome Matt! Richard:cool:
  22. Sorry to hear that Lee - and good luck in getting back into a Zed mate....:clover: At least you weren't hurt and no-one else was involved... Richard
  23. Hi and welcome to the club Will..... ....And that's a tidy looking Zed you have acquired mate....
  24. I think the 350z is smaller..... Although you do have a SWB, so that size might be sufficient... Joel bought a decent indoor cover at the NEC show - ask him if he still has the company's details Gaz. I don't think Joel's cost quite as much....!
