  1. Lukes yer man now, the supplier who supplied me and Luke these just got far too slow in making em, then he upped the price as well, so became a ball ache in the end, bit pissed really cos it was me who decided to get em made and did all the ground work for the different combinations of them, but there you go... that's life :( cheers smithy
  2. Of course the rear light conversion suits Black manual Zeds, least mine anyways methinks :D Smithy
  3. Please tell me people DO look around this site before posting................ don't they :o :o smithy
  4. This happened to mine last year and it was one of the fuses in the fuse box in engine passenger side by yer hard pipe, the lid says which one. cheers smithy
  5. Mark from the way you described driving the car to option, i am even more confident it ain't seals, to receive 2 turbo's that are both faulty when they are fitted with race spec rear seals and are no different to the other 16 sets i've sold, am gonna do me numbers tomorrow cos there has to be more chance of me winning them than that happening. Feel for you that this has happened, but best wait and see what it is confirmed to be cos the last time my car drove like that it was the ECU that was faulty. cheers smithy
  6. Erm yes... bit hard not too really as we don't have an overall speed limit hear in the I.O.M :D :D and this sunday is Mad Sunday where they even make the mountain section one way traffic so you can go like fook and race all them bikes, :D pretty cool really cheers smithy
  7. Having tried numerous companies about these, i finally did locate a company to do them and yes the price was about £150 and they would be in stainless polished not alloy. Now the problem being is that a, the sill lips over into the carpet area and b, the curve at the back that goes upwards so the cost alone of making up the correct tooling etc was circa £700 :( which divided by the 30 odd people who showed interest was okay, but it meant stumping up the cash first, as i had closed cybercraft down at this time it meant cash out of my pocket to make it work as i now just carry on as "smithy's place" so in short as soon as i've got that cash spare, they'll be done ;) cheers smithy
  8. no no numnuts, as you know i spent some on this ages ago, it came to fook all in the very end, so all that was aquired and needed to make em properly, is now coming back to me, so hence they are available to who ever can source a decent company to help us out, gees cheers smithy
  9. Also for anyone interested in sorting out what we really want, i should have the 4 different specs of original dials coming back to me any day next week along with an example of US spec Indiglo dials i purchased a year ago. cheers smithy
  10. Seeing as it's not 300zx specific as the bolts didn't line up, sounds to me it's leaking air where it joins the AFM, take it off and smear some sealant where it has all the holes, refit to AFM and wipe clean any excess. smithy:cool:
  11. On behalf of the whingers, i assume their gripe is the same as mine, it's the word Dials that's the problem, not the fact there is wording there, when we buy anything the makers name is sometimes on it yes, but it don't bleedin light up indiglo blue the words washing machine, Induction kit, Bodykit, sofa etc etc if he'd put auto illusions there it wouldn't have been too bad, but to buy a set of dials and have dials the word on it just makes em look tacky like something you get from harry halfords, sure the nova and saxo brigade wouldn't mind though. Considering there are 4 types of faces used on our Zeds in the UK, UK spec, jap spec, series 1 and series 2, ALL do have a slight difference period, allbeit looks or calibration so ensure you get the correct set as the templates that are already made up are just generalised. smithy
  12. Now this does confuse me, first we are asked for what we want so they will go with the majority, then we are told it's this and nowt else :( but even worse if there are a shit load of templates made up with the logo on, not calibrated to UK or with UK markings on em, in short, ready to be adapted to suit the country they are sold to, then why oh why is so hard to have 50 templates made with no logo at all, surely to christ it's easier to leave a logo off than put it on :( i take it it is done by computer !! Vijay mate, your time has come, come and sort this out buddy ;) cheers smithy
  13. Hey Wazza, what you done this time, i don't see your name in the list above and you've replied more times on this subject than anybody else :D :D cheers smithy
  14. Must confess i'm not in favour of the Idials logo either so no thanks, thing is though the only real person that can see the dials is the driver ...... so can't see the point in advertising on them, if someone ever did see em and asked or commented, i'd just tell who ever where they came from, the best form of advertising is and always will be, Word of Mouth ;) Auto Illusion why not start a poll to see what the preference is, that way which ever way it goes you know you've secured the maximum amount of customers, it wouldn't hold up the delay in making em, anyone else agree ??? cheers smithy
  15. I was asked to start supplying this garage as the owner has a Zed and he says that they are often working on them, so i asked for some idea of prices for various jobs that people often ask me about when buying goods of me, i have never dealt with them for jobs on a Zed, but thought it might prove usual to anyone nearby their Garage. Engine out/in for Turbo swap £1,000, Cambelt £160, Clutch £130, Auto to Manual £350 all are labour only and a guide, Hope this helps someone. Hall + Martin garage, Ross road garage, Huntley, Gloucester. Tel 01452-830333 cheers smithy
  16. Tony that surprises me that, mine have been on for 18months now and are just ready for replacing, hardly any dust either, i know Mac's lasted a long time too, are yer discs okay fella ? Oh and the EBC blacks are just standard, so may not last yer that long SE price £129 fronts and £109 rears. cheers smithy
  17. God i hate to say this, but it's SE in Essex telephone 01621-858856 good choice by the way, best in my opinion. cheers smithy
  18. Dohhh Chris you must type quicker than me, just a minute in it :D smithy
  19. Why whats up, don't like emails bud ;) just that nearly every mail i send involves a pic of a product. text me yer number to 07624-490098 and i'll call you when free if you like. cheers smithy
  20. Germany had a few bits and bobs that were different spec to UK, bulbs being one of them, i use PIAA 85 watt which are supposed to produce 135 watt lighting power but drawing only 85, if yer know what i mean ;) anyways no probs for past 10 months, did have 100 watt bulbs in and 1 blew after about a year, other still fine. Cheers smithy  Oh don't ever use a UK spec rad, yours is far better Nismo spec in Germany:(
  21. Paul, the full carbon RPS clutch is reasonably new compared to the rest of the entire RPS range, so doubt anyone can give advice on it, as for wear rates then that is totally dependant on yer power and how hard you drive it. Have sold dozens of the RPS sport street and Max kits so if you want any further help on one, feel free to mail me. BTW a lot really depends on both your present and future expected power output as the sport street kit is totally stock feel, but capable of holding power of over 500 pounds of torque. cheers smithy
  22. Alright Mac, well in a word "No" i have considered it a few times as we have made some stonking catch tanks for a number of different cars, sure Jezz can agree on that and i've always fitted one in previous modded tubo'd cars i've had. After Mark Brand had his problems last year at the Max power show i decided to go for it until i realised there's no fooking room in the engine bay :( even though Cusco list a kit for our car it's picture and details are the same as all the other kits for nissan's and these are about 7inches high and 2.5inch diameter, so dunno where are earth they think it will go. If someone can figure out where to fit the bugger and tell me which exactly are the breather pipes that would be fed into it, then no probs we'll do one to suit as i certainly would be having one meself ;) cheers smithy  Zed complete with AFR and HKS plugs :D :) :) :D :D
  23. Well said Tim, tis a shame a simple question as to "where can i go" results in a bit of secret mud slinging. Rodney just contact all 4 named above get a feel for who seems to know their stuff and offers you a price YOUR happy with then consider the distance, simple as that. Have not used Duffers me self though i intend too in the next couple of months regardless of what you've been told, go for it ;) cheers smithy
  24. May i be struck down in flames for this, but yes the SE chip is good ;) cheers smithy
  25. Bloody hell Mac, do ever wish you kept yer gob shut :D some people just don't like it when they know yer cars getting quicker again :D Seriously though, i've got the SE chip and had an AFR installed about 2 years ago and personally i go with Jezz on this, you could fanny about for ever perfecting yer chip to suit yer car today add another simple mod tomorow and start over again, plus you'll never find 2 car engines the excat same. I like the AFR cos it alows you to FINE tune the fuelling at the push of some buttons to extract the most it can to suit yer individual engine, plus it also has a feature that quickens the throttle response. People for years have argued that certain mods are awaste of time or money and i'm sure they will for many more ;) cheers smithy
