group buy on pe 1420 turbos
Just as well that i wern't suggesting the HKS ones were then wazza ;) However interested to know why the ball bearing turbo's supplied by me capable of putting down more power and who knows if they spool quicker or not are not as i think you were trying to imply "in the same league" these come with gaskets adapter plate for manifold and if they were any larger would need a grinder to fit em :D cheers smithy

group buy on pe 1420 turbos
For £2,100 i can easily supply a pair of Garret turbo's, ball bearing spool up jobbies, very large and capable of just over the 600bhp mark, spool up very quick indeed, Steve E will confirm i'm sure as he fitted these after being unhappy with the HKS GT's. And of course you have none of the worries with dealing with a company so far away in states, should you have any probs with damage/fitment, gaurantee etc. cheers smithy

New Clutch
Stuey, can't comment on the AP racing, but have been importing the full RPS range for past 8 months and sold more than 2 dozen kits so far, not one complaint and driveibility is no different to stock if you go for the sport street kit and at £345 for the full kit delivered to yer door without any worries about dealing with a company in states, a bargain too ;) Oh and light weight flywheels as well, mail me smithy@manx.net if yer interested. cheers smithy

indiglo gauges
Vijay, just so yer know, series 1 should be 1992 or less and series 2 above 1992, there is however another difference between jap spec and UK spec dials (speedo only) in that they are calibrated differently with an extra few nothes on the end of the speedo on the jap ones as oppossed to the UK ones as they read going 10mph more, (or it could be the other way round  ) cheers smithy

Veilside C1 skirts
To be honest SOME of the genuine Veilside stuff isn't al that great in quality, so yes copy moulds can be better, speak with Luke at Z centre first though on this as i'm sure he would be able to source em for yer. smithy

Ecu
Cats as we know are or can be restrictive and cause a certain amount of back pressure in the system, the rear seal on the turbo is kept nice and tight by this pressure, when you de-cat you change the pressure and over a period of time the seal on older turbos can soon start to wriggle around the piston it surrounds and cause escape of oil into the exhaust, hence they start smoking, once started you cannot stop it really, that's why the infamous Johnny breather kits were used, they put a little pressure back in the system again, but this only bought you more time. This is why all turbo's i sell have the race spec stagger gap total seal on them, they are not effected by the altered pressure. cheers smithy

Air induction or exhaust first???
Usually it's seen as getting as much air in first with an induction kit, then the exhaust next, as Ivan said, you won't really see an improvement with a modded exhaust on stock airbox, even then a modded zorst second really only performs better rather than improve performance, if any it's so marginal. cheers smithy

Sylvia Engineering
Geoff, with SE it seems from this forum that it's a case off "luck of the draw" basically they can work wonders on Nissan's in general but have a reputation for really poor customer relations to SOME people and yet really good to some others, yer pays yer money and takes yer chances just like any other company i guess ;) cheers smithy
